Air Walk is one of the most important mobility upgrades in VV Ultimatum. It lets you travel vertically, reach progression areas faster, and is required for several late-game activities.
Air Walk Requirements
Before you can unlock Air Walk, you need:
- Around Level 43-45
- Access to the Arctic Zone
- Progression through the main story far enough to receive the Air Walk quest
The exact level requirement may vary slightly depending on your progression, but most players unlock the quest during the Level 40+ portion of the story.
Step 1: Get the Air Walk Quest
Continue completing the main story until an NPC offers the Air Walk quest.
Do not ignore the story progression. If the NPC is not giving the quest, you’re likely not far enough into the main questline.
Step 2: Travel to the Arctic Zone
The objective sends you to the highest point of the Arctic Zone.
The area is designed as a climbing challenge since you don’t have Air Walk yet.
Step 3: Find the Tower Entrance
Head toward the large castle-like structure located at the highest section of the map.
To begin the climb:
- Locate the opening beneath the structure.
- Enter through the hole leading inside.
- Start ascending the tower.
Step 4: Climb to the Top
This is the hardest part of the quest.
During the climb:
- Quincy Archers will attack you.
- Falling can force you to repeat portions of the climb.
- Bringing one or two friends can make the process much easier.
The climb generally takes around 10 minutes if completed without major mistakes.
Step 5: Talk to the NPC at the Summit
Once you reach the top:
- Speak with the NPC waiting there.
- The objective will update and complete.
Step 6: Return to the Original Quest NPC
After speaking with the summit NPC:
- Return to the quest giver.
- Turn in the quest.
You will then unlock Air Walk permanently.
Is Air Walk Account-Wide?
Yes. According to player reports, once Air Walk is unlocked on one character, it becomes available for your other character slots as well.
Because of this, many players recommend unlocking it on their highest-level character before creating additional builds.
