In this post, I’m going to tell you how to obtain the Spellweaver in The Veil, including where you need to go, what requirements you need to prepare, and what this weapon can actually do in combat.
Spellweaver is one of the more interesting weapons you can get, especially if you enjoy PvP. It has strong damage potential, several different abilities, tracking attacks, and a true stun that can give you enough time to follow up with another move.
I’ll first go over the Spellweaver’s moves and how they work. After that, I’ll explain exactly how you can obtain the weapon, including the Hidden Library location and the materials you need before speaking to the Wizard.
The journey to the library can be quite long, so I definitely recommend paying attention to the location details and claiming the teleport point once you finally reach it. You really do not want to make the entire trip again.
How to Obtain Spellweaver in The Veil
Before we get into how to obtain the weapon, let’s first talk about what Spellweaver actually does.
Spellweaver is a rapier weapon, meaning you will need Melee Mastery to use it properly. Because of this, you cannot simply use the weapon on a Mage or Summoner build that does not meet the required melee conditions.
One of the reasons Spellweaver is considered such a strong PvP weapon is the number of different moves it has available. The weapon can deal strong DPS while also giving you options for mobility, tracking enemies, and setting up a stun.
The T move acts like a bomb jump and can apply a status effect similar to Starfire.
Another ability gives you iframes and allows you to teleport around enemies within the area while dealing damage. This makes the weapon particularly useful when fighting multiple opponents or trying to move around during combat.
Spellweaver also has an auto-tracking attack that fires star-like projectiles towards enemies. Once the tracking move connects, it places a string effect on the target.
You can then press R to detonate the effect.
When detonated, the enemy gets true stunned, leaving them in place long enough for you to potentially follow up with another powerful attack. This is probably one of the strongest parts of the weapon because the stun can create a good opening for your combo.
Overall, Spellweaver has a surprising number of mechanics for one weapon. Between its movement, tracking attacks, damage, and true stun, I can definitely see why players consider it a powerful PvP option.
Requirements to Obtain Spellweaver
To get Spellweaver, you need to find the Hidden Library in The Pale.
Once you make it to the library, you will find a Wizard NPC inside. Speaking to this NPC is what allows you to obtain the weapon.
However, you need to prepare two important requirements before doing this:
- 100 Offerings
- One Legendary Weapon
You need to exchange your Legendary Weapon along with the 100 Offerings.
The Wizard will then transform the Legendary Weapon into the Spellweaver.
There does not appear to be a long questline or a special quest that you need to complete before doing this. Once you reach the Wizard and have the required items, you simply need to speak with him and complete the exchange.
It works somewhat similarly to other high-cost exchanges in the game, although this one specifically requires you to sacrifice a Legendary Weapon.
Important: Spellweaver Requires Melee Mastery
One thing you should know before trying to get Spellweaver is that it is a rapier.
That means it uses Melee Mastery.
So, if you’re playing a Mage or Summoner setup and do not have the required melee mastery, this weapon will not be suitable for your build. Make sure your character can actually use a melee weapon before spending your 100 Offerings and Legendary Weapon.
This is especially important because you are trading away a Legendary Weapon to obtain Spellweaver, so you don’t want to make the exchange without checking your build first.
How to Find the Hidden Library
The Hidden Library is located in The Pale.
If you have never been there before, the closest teleport point is the Pale area. From there, you need to travel toward the library.
The route can be quite difficult to memorize because the location is far away and surrounded by the Pale maze. Instead of trying to remember every turn, I recommend using the coordinates shown in the original location route and matching them with your own coordinates.
Having a radar can also make the trip much easier.
The journey is long enough that even finding your way back manually can become annoying, so using coordinates is probably the best option. Just keep checking your position and match it with the location you are trying to reach.
Eventually, you will arrive at the Hidden Library.
Claim the Teleport Point Near the Library
Once you finally reach the library area, make sure you look around for the nearby teleport point.
This is something I would strongly recommend claiming immediately.
The journey through The Pale can take quite a while, and you definitely do not want to walk all the way back through the maze every time you need to visit the area.
The teleport point is located around the corner from the library area. Once you have it unlocked, travelling back becomes much easier.
So before leaving, make sure you claim it.
Speak to the Wizard in the Library
After reaching the Hidden Library, head inside and look for the Wizard NPC.
You do not need to complete a special quest beforehand. There is no complicated chain of objectives that needs to be finished first.
As long as you have:
- 100 Offerings
- A Legendary Weapon
You can speak directly to the Wizard and turn in the requirements.
The Legendary Weapon will be exchanged and transformed into the Spellweaver.
And that’s really all there is to obtaining it.
Is Spellweaver Worth Getting?
Based on its abilities, Spellweaver is definitely an interesting weapon for players who enjoy PvP and melee combat.
The weapon has strong DPS, movement options, auto-tracking attacks, and a true stun mechanic that can help you set up follow-up damage.
The ability to mark an enemy, detonate the effect, and leave them stunned can be especially useful when putting together combos.
However, remember that this is a melee weapon and requires Melee Mastery. Make sure Spellweaver actually fits your build before sacrificing a Legendary Weapon for it.
The biggest challenge for most players will probably be reaching the Hidden Library in The Pale. Once you know where the location is and claim the nearby teleport point, though, the process becomes much easier.
So, prepare your 100 Offerings, bring a Legendary Weapon, make your way through The Pale to the Hidden Library, and speak to the Wizard to get your Spellweaver.
