Universal Tower Defense X has officially stepped into a new era with the massive Update 2.0, and it’s not just another content drop—it’s a full shift in how the game is played. With the arrival of Naruto-inspired units like Naruto, Sasuke, and Madara, alongside major system changes like the Leader slot, relic rerolling, and built-in macro farming, the meta has been completely reshaped.
What once worked in Infinite or Virtual Realm may no longer be optimal, and several previously overlooked units have suddenly become viable—or even top-tier. At the same time, some older DPS-focused units are starting to fall behind due to the growing importance of utility, scaling, and team synergy.
This updated Universal Tower Defense X tier list focuses on what actually matters in the current version of Universal Tower Defense X. Instead of early-game progression, the rankings prioritize performance in high-level content like Infinite mode, Nightmare difficulty, Raids, and Virtual Realm. Units are evaluated not just by raw damage, but by how they scale, how much utility they bring, and how well they fit into the new systems introduced in Update 2.0.
Universal Tower Defense X Tier List 2026 – Update 2.0
S-TIER HYBRIDS (Main DPS Core)
Naruto (Sage / Six Paths)
Naruto feels like a complete package. He has strong base damage, but what really makes him stand out is his burst potential when upgraded. His abilities hit hard in wide areas, and once you evolve him, his DPS spikes significantly. He performs best in Infinite and Boss modes because he scales well into late waves. If your Naruto is built properly, he can carry most runs.
Madara (Ancient Shinobi)
Madara is a very aggressive hybrid unit with high consistent damage and strong presence in raids. His attacks feel heavy and impactful, especially when multiple enemies are stacked. He doesn’t need too much setup compared to scaling units, which makes him reliable in both short and long modes. He works extremely well alongside Naruto.
Jinoo (Monarch)
Jinoo starts off slow, and you will notice that immediately. Early waves feel weak, but once his shadows start stacking, his damage becomes insane. In Infinite mode, he becomes one of the strongest units in the game. He is not ideal for fast clears, but for long runs, he is almost unmatched.
Migumen (Finale)
Migumen is very flexible. Her damage is good, but her real strength is her nuke ability. When fully upgraded, her burst damage can wipe out waves quickly. She also applies burn and true damage, which makes her useful against tanky enemies. She feels strong in almost every mode.
Phantom Captain (Carrier)
This unit plays very differently because of her summons. Her planes constantly deal damage across the map, which gives her both sustained DPS and burst damage. Early placement matters, and once her planes are active, the damage output feels constant and reliable.
Berserker (Enraged)
Berserker is very satisfying to use. He ramps up quickly and starts dealing high damage without needing too much time. He also slows enemies and increases the damage they take, which makes him both DPS and support. He performs especially well in Virtual Realm and mid-length modes.
A-TIER HYBRIDS
Sasuke (War / Evolution)
Sasuke improved a lot in Update 2.0. His damage over time and abilities feel much stronger now. He’s not top-tier DPS, but he is reliable and easier to use compared to scaling units. Good for consistent damage and progression.
Dragon Guy (Silverite / Ragna)
After the update, Dragon Guy feels completely different. He no longer deletes himself, which makes him usable early. His burst damage is strong, especially with his shatter ability, and he works best in short to mid-length modes. However, he still struggles in very long runs.
Scarlet Maid
She mixes damage and crowd control. Her time-based abilities can stun and slow enemies, which helps your main DPS units. She requires some setup, but once built, she becomes useful in Infinite.
S-TIER GROUND
Underworld God (Hades)
Hades is one of the strongest raw DPS units. His attacks apply damage over time and stack quickly. Once placed and upgraded, he keeps dealing consistent damage without needing much attention. Very strong against armored enemies.
Water God (Poseidon)
Poseidon focuses on consistent damage and scaling. His attacks become stronger over time, and his abilities cover large areas. When paired with Hades, the combination becomes extremely powerful.
Adam (First Human)
Adam is very unique. His strength depends on what units you place around him. He adapts to elements and gains different effects. This makes him flexible and useful in different team setups. He requires some understanding but rewards good positioning.
S-TIER AIR / HILL
Lord of Flies (Beelzebub)
This unit is essential for late game. He deals strong burst damage and can give stun immunity, which becomes very important in harder modes. His abilities feel impactful and help stabilize runs.
Jangluu (Eclipse)
Jangluu becomes very strong when paired with freeze units. Her damage increases significantly against frozen enemies. If your team supports her properly, she can become one of the highest damage units.
S-TIER SUPPORT
First Emperor
This is one of the strongest units overall, not just support. He slows, stuns, and buffs your entire team. On top of that, he still deals good damage. Once fully upgraded, he becomes extremely valuable in every mode.
Enlightened God
This unit buffs your team continuously. As the fight goes on, your units get stronger. He can also switch roles depending on the situation, which makes him very flexible. He fits into almost any team.
Ice Empress
Ice Empress is all about control. She freezes enemies, slows them, and gives your team more time to deal damage. She also does decent DPS, but her main role is keeping enemies under control.
Miku (Super Star)
Miku is the best pure buffer. She increases damage and range for nearby units. She doesn’t deal damage herself, but she makes your entire team stronger. Always place her after your main DPS units.
Admiral (Magma)
Admiral is one of the best budget units. He applies burn damage and confusion, which makes enemies move backward. This gives your team more time to attack. Very useful even in late game.
FARM UNITS
Bulma
Bulma is the best farming unit. She generates money efficiently, allowing you to build your team faster. Always place her early.
Fastcart
Fastcart is a weaker version of Bulma but still useful. Good for beginners or if you don’t have better options.
