Bridger Western Catch the Rainbow Guide – Damage & Abilities

Every update has that one stand people instantly call “broken” — and this time, it’s Catch the Rainbow (CTR). At first glance, it really does look insane. Flight, mobility, strong damage… it has everything.

But once you understand how it actually works, there’s a big catch that completely changes how good it really is.

Bridger Western Catch the Rainbow Guide

CTR is not a normal stand.

You can only use it when it’s raining.

That means:

  • No rain → no abilities
  • No rain → no flight
  • No rain → basically useless

This single condition is what balances the entire stand.

Mobility & Flight

The moment rain starts, CTR becomes a completely different beast.

  • You can walk on rain
  • You can stay mid-air freely
  • You get insane vertical control

It’s not just “jump and glide” — it’s full aerial movement.

And honestly, this is where CTR feels broken.

Most players:

  • Can’t reach you easily
  • Struggle to aim upward
  • Panic under pressure

If you stay in the air, you control the fight.

Damage & Abilities

From what’s shown, CTR has a surprisingly strong kit.

High-Damage Beam (Main Move)

  • Hits hard
  • Low cooldown
  • Easy to spam

It’s basically your main pressure tool. You can keep throwing it out and forcing mistakes.

Teleport / Mobility Move

  • Quick repositioning
  • Helps you escape or chase

Combined with flight, this makes CTR extremely hard to pin down.

Basic Attacks

  • Decent close-range options
  • Nothing crazy, but usable

Realistically, you won’t rely on these much — CTR is strongest at range.

Why People Are Calling It OP

There are a few reasons:

  • You can attack safely from the air
  • Strong abilities with low cooldowns
  • Hard to counter without ranged tools
  • Great mobility + positioning

In the right situation, it feels unfair.

Here’s the part most people ignore:

1. Rain Dependency

This is the biggest limitation.

  • No rain = no stand usage
  • You’re completely reliant on weather

That alone makes it inconsistent in competitive play.

2. Predictable Playstyle

Once players understand CTR:

  • They wait out rain
  • They force close-range fights
  • They punish landing mistakes

So while it looks overwhelming at first, it’s not unbeatable.

3. Skill-Dependent Positioning

If you:

  • Stay too low
  • Mismanage movement
  • Get caught

You lose your biggest advantage instantly.

Best Way To Use Catch the Rainbow

If you want to actually dominate with it:

  • Stay airborne as much as possible
  • Abuse range instead of rushing
  • Use mobility to reposition constantly
  • Never fight on the ground unless forced

CTR is not a brawler — it’s a control and pressure stand.

Catch the Rainbow is one of the most unique stands added to Bridger: Western so far. It changes how fights play out completely — especially when you take control of the sky.

But calling it straight-up OP isn’t entirely accurate. It’s strong, yes — but only when conditions are in your favor.
