Rogue Piece Yhwach & Thragg Guide

The newest Rogue Piece update added two extremely powerful unlocks that players are already grinding for nonstop: Yhwach and Thragg. Both of them come with their own islands, bosses, quests, abilities, and awakening progression, and honestly, this update feels much bigger than most people expected.

When I first entered the new islands, it looked overwhelming because there are NPCs everywhere and several bosses spawning around the map. But once you understand the quest order, the progression becomes much easier to follow.

Out of the two, Yhwach definitely feels more flashy and powerful overall, while Thragg feels more brute-force focused with heavy damage and aggressive attacks. Both are strong enough to completely change your build if you unlock them properly.

This guide explains everything step-by-step, including all quests, boss requirements, awakening unlocks, spawn materials, and what to expect while grinding both powers.

Yhwach Location

To start unlocking Yhwach, you first need to head to the new island called Forsaken Society.

This island is packed with NPCs, quest givers, and boss-related mechanics, so new players might feel confused immediately after arriving. The important thing is not to panic and simply focus on the correct NPC first.

The NPC you need is the Acquaintance NPC. This NPC starts the full Yhwach questline.

Once you interact with them, the entire progression path begins.

Yhwach Quest Line

The Yhwach grind is mostly boss-focused, so prepare for a lot of combat before you finally unlock the weapon.

Aizen Boss Quest

The first requirement is defeating the Aizen Boss 50 times.

This sounds massive at first, but if you already have decent damage or a farming build, the grind becomes manageable after a while. The hardest part is honestly staying patient because 50 kills takes time.

A lot of players rush into this update underleveled and end up struggling heavily against repeated boss fights. If your build feels weak, it is better to improve your stats first instead of forcing the grind slowly.

Thousand Year Aizen Quest

The next quest requires defeating the Aizen Thousand Year Boss 25 times.

This step becomes harder because spawning the boss depends on having enough reatsu resources. If you do not have enough materials or spawning capability, progress slows down a lot.

That is why experienced players usually recommend preparing resources ahead of time before starting the Yhwach grind. It saves a huge amount of frustration later.

Quincy Boss Quest

After that, you need to defeat 25 Quincy bosses.

Thankfully, this part is much easier compared to the earlier quests because the Quincy boss spawns every two to three minutes in Forsaken City.

Since the respawn timer is fairly quick, players usually gather around the spawn area and continuously farm together. This makes the grind feel much faster than the earlier Aizen requirements.

While farming Quincy bosses, you should also pay attention to drops because they become important later.

Yhwach Boss Quest

The final requirement is defeating the Yhwach Boss five times.

To summon the boss, you need to use the Spawner NPC located on the island.

The summon requires Quincy-related materials and souls that mainly drop from the Quincy Boss, which is why earlier farming matters so much. Players who ignored the drops often end up having to backtrack later.

Once you finish all requirements, you can finally purchase the Yhwach weapon.

Yhwach Abilities

The moment you unlock Yhwach, you immediately notice how flashy the abilities are.

The attacks feel smooth, fast, and visually clean. Almost every move has large effects and satisfying impact animations, making the weapon feel powerful even before you fully master it.

What stood out to me most was how polished the skills looked during combat. Some weapons in Rogue Piece hit hard but feel clunky to use. Yhwach feels extremely fluid.

Its damage output is also impressive during both boss fights and PvP situations.

Yhwach Awakening

Unlocking the ultimate mastery move requires another questline.

To obtain the F Move, you need to talk to the Awakener NPC.

Thankfully, this awakening process is much shorter than the original unlock grind.

The requirement is simple:

  • Defeat Yhwach 15 times

That is it.

Compared to the earlier progression, this part feels surprisingly straightforward. Still, the grind can take time depending on how quickly your server spawns bosses.

Once unlocked, the full kit becomes much stronger and far more complete.

Yhwach Accessory and Clan

The update also added a new Yhwach-themed accessory alongside the new clan additions.

The accessory looks incredibly clean visually and matches the overall dark aesthetic of the update perfectly.

The new Yhwach clan also gives players another reason to continue grinding if they want the full themed setup.

A lot of players are already mixing the clan bonuses with the weapon build for stronger overall performance.

Thragg Location

Now let’s move on to Thragg.

To begin the Thragg progression, head to the new island called Invincible City Island.

The obtainment process is very similar to Yhwach, so once you understand one system, the second one becomes easier to learn.

Again, your first stop should be the Acquaintance NPC to begin the questline.

Thragg Quest Line

Thragg’s progression feels more combat-training focused instead of purely boss-focused.

Dummy Training Quest

The first quest requires using basic combat to perform 500 M1 attacks on a dummy.

This is basically the game forcing you into a training phase before the real progression begins.

The quest is simple but time-consuming. The best thing you can do here is stay consistent and avoid getting distracted because the repetitive punching can become boring after a while.

Enlightenment Requirement

The second quest is honestly one of the strangest requirements in the update.

You need to become Enlightened, which has roughly a 1 in 500 chance while attacking the dummy with M1 attacks.

This means the process is heavily luck-based.

Some players unlock it quickly while others stay there much longer than expected. I have already seen people get frustrated during this step because RNG completely controls the pacing.

The best mindset here is to stay patient and keep attacking until it eventually triggers.

Viltrumite Quest

After becoming enlightened, you must defeat 25 Filthrimites/Viltrumites in Invincible City.

These enemies spawn every two to three minutes, similar to the Quincy bosses from the Yhwach grind.

This section feels much smoother than the enlightenment phase because at least progress becomes fully skill-based again instead of RNG.

Thragg Boss Quest

The final step requires defeating Thragg five times.

Like Yhwach, the boss is spawned directly on the island through a summoning system.

To spawn Thragg, you need special Viltrumite drops collected during farming.

Another important detail many players miss is that conquest mode can also provide partial Thragg materials. However, most important drops still mainly come from the actual Thragg boss itself.

Once you finish all requirements, you finally unlock Thragg.

Thragg Abilities

Thragg feels completely different from Yhwach during combat.

While Yhwach focuses on flashy effects and stylish attacks, Thragg feels heavier, more aggressive, and more brutal overall.

The abilities hit hard and feel impactful, especially during direct combat situations.

Some players will honestly prefer Thragg simply because of how powerful the attacks feel physically.

Thragg Awakening

To unlock the ultimate F move for Thragg, you need to:

  • Defeat Thragg 15 times

This is almost identical to the Yhwach awakening process.

After unlocking the final move, the full kit becomes significantly stronger and feels much more complete during combat rotations.

Yhwach vs Thragg

After testing both, Yhwach honestly feels stronger overall in the current update.

The damage, visuals, smoothness, and versatility make it feel slightly ahead of Thragg in most situations.

That does not mean Thragg is weak at all. Thragg still deals excellent damage and looks extremely cool during combat. It is just that Yhwach currently feels more polished and dominant.

If you prefer flashy abilities, smoother combos, and powerful effects, Yhwach is probably the better choice.

If you prefer raw aggression, heavy attacks, and brute-force gameplay, then Thragg may fit your playstyle more.

This update added a huge amount of content to Rogue Piece, and both unlocks feel worthy of the grind.

The progression may look intimidating at first because of the boss farming and material requirements, but once you understand the quest order, things become much easier.

Personally, the Yhwach grind felt more rewarding because every ability looked insane during combat. The effects, animations, and overall feel of the weapon make it one of the coolest additions Rogue Piece has had in a while.

Thragg is still extremely solid though, especially for players who enjoy aggressive close-range combat and powerful physical attacks.

If you are planning to grind both, I would honestly recommend starting with Yhwach first since it currently feels slightly stronger overall and more useful in a wider variety of situations.
