All 24 Drylands Fish in FISCH Roblox (100% Bestiary Guide)

The Drylands is easily one of the most unique fishing areas in Fisch. Unlike most islands where you’re casting into rivers or oceans, a large portion of the fish here are actually hidden beneath the sand. If you show up with a normal rod expecting to complete the Bestiary, you’ll quickly realize something is missing.

Before I started filling out the Drylands Bestiary, I spent several minutes trying to fish in the dunes with a regular rod before realizing I needed an entirely different setup. So if you’re aiming for 100% completion, here’s everything you need to know.

How to Reach the Drylands

The Drylands is located beside the Fischfest 2 area.

The easiest way to get there is by using the Magic Conch to teleport to Fischfest 2. Once you arrive, head toward the large Sand Castle, then continue behind it until you reach the dry desert region.

Once you arrive, you’ll notice the area is made up of sand dunes, small oases, and shallow pools of water.

How to Fish in the Drylands

Fishing works differently here than on most islands.

There are two types of fishing spots:

Water Fishing

The ponds and oasis areas work exactly like normal fishing spots.

You can simply equip your favorite fishing rod and start casting.

Sand Fishing

Most of the Drylands Bestiary lives beneath the sand instead of water.

To catch these fish, you’ll need the Marrow Rod equipped with the Sand Sifter attachment.

Without this setup, you won’t be able to catch many of the island’s exclusive species.

How to Get the Marrow Rod

The Marrow Rod is obtained by completing the quest given by Paleontologist Petri on the Drylands.

You’ll find the NPC at:

GPS: (-23924, 2696, -6213)

The quest requires collecting three different fossil-related items before the rod can be crafted.

Once you’ve finished the quest, you’ll unlock the Marrow Rod and gain access to sand fishing.

Best Tips for Completing the Drylands Bestiary

Completing this Bestiary is much easier if you prepare beforehand.

  • Finish the Marrow Rod quest before seriously farming.
  • Always equip the Sand Sifter while fishing in sand dunes.
  • Use a regular fishing rod only around the oasis and water pools.
  • Most currently known fish prefer Summer weather, so plan your fishing accordingly.
  • Bring multiple bait types, especially Fish Head, Shrimp, Insects, Worms, and Cacti Pulp.
  • If a fish only appears at Night or during Foggy weather, consider waiting for those conditions instead of wasting bait.

The Drylands offers one of the most creative fishing experiences in Fisch, mixing traditional fishing with unique sand fishing mechanics. Before attempting to complete the 24-fish Bestiary, make sure you’ve unlocked the Marrow Rod by completing Paleontologist Petri’s quest and equipped the Sand Sifter. Once you’re prepared, alternate between the sand dunes and oasis waters while matching each fish’s preferred bait, weather, season, and time to steadily work toward 100% Bestiary completion.
