If you like aggressive, in-your-face characters, Kashimo might be exactly your type. The new addition to Sorcerer Tycoon brings heavy close-combat pressure, fast cooldown rotations, and an awakening kit that can absolutely melt enemies when used correctly.
But is he actually broken?
Or does he just look insane in short clips?
Let’s go through everything properly.
How to Unlock Kashimo
Getting him isn’t automatic. You need to farm for it.
Here’s how it works:
- Wait for the Calamity Boss to spawn.
- Defeat the boss.
- Hope it drops the Thunder Core.
- Use the Thunder Core to unlock Kashimo.
The drop isn’t guaranteed.
That means you might have to farm multiple spawns before getting it. If you’re unlucky, be ready for a bit of grinding.
Base Form – Close Combat Specialist
Right away, you’ll notice one thing:
Range is limited.
Every base ability requires you to be very close to the enemy. If they’re moving constantly or spacing properly, you’ll miss a lot.
Here’s how his base kit plays:
Thunder Fist
Short range, solid damage. Easy to whiff if you’re not tight on positioning.
Kick
Very similar range. Quick and reliable in combos.
Lightning Surge
Forward dash attack. Useful for closing distance, but not a long chase tool.
Gyro Burst
Quick burst damage. Good combo extender.
The overall feeling?
He rewards aggression. If you hesitate, you lose value.
However, when you’re glued to the target, his damage stacks up quickly.
Awakening – This Is Where Things Get Crazy
When Kashimo awakens, everything changes.
He gains a purple aura and enhanced abilities. Damage spikes noticeably, and combo potential becomes much scarier.
Let’s break it down.
Thunder God Rush
Auto-target ability. You press it — he locks on and starts attacking automatically. Extremely strong for catching mobile enemies.
Downward Slam Kick
Aerial smash attack. Good burst damage and combo follow-up.
Lightning Strike
Calls down thunder from above. High damage per hit and excellent pressure tool.
Lightning Counter
Reactive ability. Punishes aggression if timed correctly.
Lightning Cloak (Thunder Cloak)
Speed buff + damage boost. This is the moment where Kashimo feels “broken.” His output skyrockets, and enemies melt if they stay close.
When Cloak is active, his combo rotation becomes very fast. By the time you finish cycling abilities, one of them is already off cooldown.
That’s what makes him feel oppressive.
Damage Potential – Is He Actually Broken?
In raw numbers?
Yes, he hits hard.
In real fights?
It depends.
Against stationary bosses or slow targets, he feels overwhelming.
Against mobile enemies like Maki-type bosses that constantly reposition? He struggles. Since he lacks ranged pressure, you must constantly chase.
If you miss abilities, you waste time.
If you mismanage awakening, you lose momentum.
He’s not brainless — he’s momentum-based.
PvE Performance
Against bosses like Toji, Gojo, or Calamity variants, Kashimo performs very well.
Especially with teammates.
He thrives when:
- Teammates help lock down enemies
- Someone else tanks
- You can stay in melee range safely
Soloing high-mobility bosses can be risky because he’s squishier than he feels.
Close combat means you take damage too.
PvP & High Pressure Situations
In player fights, skill matters a lot.
If you:
- Maintain tight spacing
- Chain abilities cleanly
- Activate Cloak at the right moment
You can delete opponents quickly.
But if you:
- Whiff Thunder Fist
- Miss your dash
- Burn awakening too early
You’ll get punished hard.
He doesn’t get bonus healing on ultimate, so survival management is important.
