The Jungle Expansion update adds one of the biggest environment upgrades to Fisch so far. Instead of just introducing a new fishing spot, the update expands the Lost Jungle with two connected sub-locations, new mechanics, hunt events, and crafting resources.
At first the update might seem simple, but once you start exploring the new areas you’ll notice there are multiple systems working together. There are environmental hazards, resource gathering, new fish rarities, and even plant-based crafting.
If you’re jumping into the update for the first time, here’s how everything actually works.
Reaching the New Jungle Area
The expansion begins in the Lost Jungle.
Before exploring the deeper parts of the jungle, players must obtain a Gas Mask. This item protects you from the toxic fumes inside the new cave systems.
The Gas Mask can be purchased near an NPC called Oliver. Once you have it equipped, you can safely travel deeper into the jungle where the new zones are located.
Without the mask, exploring certain areas becomes difficult due to the toxic environment.
Toxic Grove
The Toxic Grove is a cave-like jungle area filled with toxic gas and polluted water. The environment immediately feels darker and more dangerous than previous locations.
This area introduces several new gameplay elements:
- Toxic water fishing areas
- New fish species for the bestiary
- A new fish rarity type
- New quests connected to the jungle ecosystem
Because of the toxic atmosphere, the Gas Mask becomes essential while exploring.
Fishing here can be more challenging, but the rewards are usually better since rare species tend to spawn in this location.
Rot Bloom Hunt
The Rot Bloom Hunt is one of the major activities hidden within Toxic Grove.
This hunt is harder than most events because the environment makes it difficult to track the creature. Players often need to explore deeper parts of the cave system before they find clues about where the hunt begins.
Once the hunt is triggered, players must quickly catch the target creature before the event ends.
Many players consider this one of the tougher hunts introduced in the update.
Living Garden
The Living Garden is the second new location added in the Jungle Expansion. Compared to Toxic Grove, the garden feels bright, peaceful, and full of life.
However, this area introduces an entirely new mechanic centered around flowers and seeds.
Players can interact with flowers throughout the garden to collect seeds. These seeds can then be planted in certain locations to grow new flowers.
After planting seeds and letting them grow, players can harvest flowers which are used for various purposes, including crafting.
Flower Planting System
The Living Garden introduces a simple but useful gameplay loop:
- Find flowers around the garden
- Interact with them to collect seeds
- Plant seeds in available soil patches
- Wait for flowers to grow
- Harvest flowers as resources
These flowers become important crafting materials in the Jungle Expansion update.
Some rods introduced or updated in the expansion require flowers as crafting ingredients, which means spending time in the garden becomes necessary if you want to unlock certain equipment.
Flower Guardian Hunt
Another event introduced in the update is the Flower Guardian Hunt.
This hunt is different from normal events because it only activates when the Living Garden is considered “at risk.”
When the garden enters this state, players may notice unusual activity around the flowers. Interacting with plants or disturbing the environment may trigger the appearance of the guardian.
Once awakened, players can attempt to complete the hunt and capture the rare target.
Hidden Areas and Abundance Zones
Both new locations contain hidden exploration areas.
These areas may include:
- Secret fishing pools
- Rare spawn locations
- Resource clusters
- Hidden quest triggers
Exploring the environment carefully often leads to discovering better fishing spots or resources that other players might miss.
The developers clearly designed the jungle expansion to reward curiosity.
New Code from the Update
The update also introduced a redeemable code.
Code:
JungleExpansion
Redeeming the code gives players several rewards related to the update.
Codes usually expire after a short time, so redeeming them early is recommended.
Previous Fisch updates mostly focused on adding fish or new locations to cast a line. This expansion adds more depth to the gameplay.
The update combines several mechanics together:
- Environmental hazards
- Exploration caves
- Hunt events
- Flower resource farming
- Crafting ingredients
- Hidden fishing spots
Instead of just fishing in one spot for hours, players now rotate between exploring caves, planting flowers, hunting rare creatures, and searching for better fishing locations.
The result is a jungle area that feels more interactive and alive than most previous zones in the game.
