The Toxic Grove is one of the most important locations added in the Jungle Expansion update in Fisch. This area contains new fishing spots, quests, hunts, and rare fish, but reaching it isn’t as simple as walking into a new zone.
You must unlock access to the cave system and obtain special equipment before entering. If you try to go inside without preparation, the toxic fumes will quickly defeat your character.
Here is the full process to reach Toxic Grove.
Step 1 – Travel to the Lost Jungle
First, head to the Lost Jungle, which is the main region where the Jungle Expansion content begins.
Once you arrive in the Lost Jungle, start moving deeper into the jungle pathways. The entrance to Toxic Grove is hidden inside a cave area within this region.
Most players discover the entrance while exploring the lower jungle paths.
Step 2 – Complete 50% of the Lost Jungle Bestiary
Before entering the toxic cave, the game requires you to complete 50% of the Lost Jungle bestiary.
This means you must catch a portion of the fish species that exist in the Lost Jungle area.
Completing part of the bestiary acts as a progression check so players cannot immediately access the deeper zone.
Once you reach 50% completion, the next requirement becomes available.
Step 3 – Buy the Gas Mask
Near the cave entrance, you will find a shop where you can purchase a Gas Mask.
The Gas Mask costs:
75,000 C$
This item is required because the cave contains toxic gas that damages players who enter without protection.
After purchasing the mask, make sure to equip it from your inventory before entering the cave.
If you forget to equip it, your character will not survive inside the toxic area.
Step 4 – Enter the Toxic Cave
Once the Gas Mask is equipped, you can safely enter the cave system.
Inside the cave you will notice:
- Dark tunnels
- Toxic fumes
- Narrow pathways leading deeper underground
The cave can be quite dark, so increasing your screen brightness can help you navigate more easily.
Continue following the main tunnel downward. The deeper you travel, the brighter the area will gradually become.
Step 5 – Reach Toxic Grove
After descending through the cave path, you will eventually arrive at the Toxic Grove itself.
This is the new underground jungle area introduced in the update.
Once inside Toxic Grove, you will unlock access to:
- New fishing locations
- Special hunt events
- Rare fish species
- Hidden exploration areas
This area is a key part of the Jungle Expansion content.
