Cursed Gear Clan Tier List Guide – Best Clans Buffs

Let’s clear something up first — clans in Cursed Gear aren’t just cosmetic bonuses. Some of them straight-up change how your build plays, especially once you get deeper into expeditions.

And yeah… not all clans are equal. Some feel amazing from the start, while others only make sense if you build around them (or just feel kinda meh overall). So instead of throwing random rankings, I’m breaking this down in a way that actually helps you decide what’s worth using.

Cursed Gear Clan Tier List Guide – Best Clans Buffs

S Tier

Gojo (Royal Clan)

This one is just unfair in a good way.

  • Starts with extra Cursed Technique points
  • Better energy + regen

Basically:
You get more abilities earlier, and you can use them more often.

It doesn’t matter what gear you’re running — this always helps.

Nier (Royal Clan)

If you’re using cybernetics even a little, this is insane.

  • +50 Cybernetic capacity
  • Free upgrade on all cybernetics

That’s basically:

  • More buffs
  • Stronger builds
  • Better scaling late game

This one gets better the longer you play.

Zenin (Royal Clan)

Simple but deadly.

  • +8% damage to most players
  • Double dash (huge mobility boost)

The extra damage + movement alone makes this top tier.

Yes, you take more damage from royal clans… but the trade is worth it.

Itadori

This one is skill-based, but when it works… it’s broken.

  • Build stacks by attacking without getting hit
  • Guarantees Black Flash at 7 stacks

If you’re consistent:

  • Massive burst damage
  • High reward gameplay

If you’re getting hit a lot though… it drops off hard.

A Tier

Todo

Feels simple, but it’s very solid.

  • Bigger size (extra presence in fights)
  • +Physicality & Durability

Basically:

  • More damage
  • More survivability

Good for beginners and melee builds.

Kamo

Lowkey underrated.

  • Lifesteal on M1 hits

It doesn’t look like much, but in longer fights:

  • It adds up
  • Helps sustain during expeditions

Especially good if you’re constantly fighting.

Kashimo

  • 10% chance to apply Shock

It’s RNG-based, but when it procs:

  • Adds pressure
  • Disrupts enemies

Not consistent enough for S tier, but still strong.

Panda

Very safe and reliable.

  • Damage reduction
  • Small healing with bamboo

Great for:

  • Surviving longer runs
  • Beginners

Doesn’t boost damage much, though.

B Tier

Amai

  • M1/M2 weaker
  • Skills stronger

If your build relies on abilities → good
If you rely on basic attacks → bad

So it depends entirely on your playstyle.

Nishimiya

  • More damage at low HP

Sounds cool… but risky.

You’re strongest when:

  • You’re close to dying

Not ideal unless you’re confident.

Hazenoki (Rare)

  • Sword damage buff
  • Takes more posture damage

Good for aggressive players, but:

  • You get punished harder

High risk, decent reward.

Yoshino (Rare)

  • Speed boost on hit

Nice for mobility, but:

  • Doesn’t directly increase damage or survival much

Feels okay, not game-changing.

C Tier

Crow

  • Devastating Strike ignores damage cap

Very specific use case.

Outside of that:

  • Doesn’t provide consistent value

Storm

  • +15% damage in Windswept only

Too situational.

If you’re not in that area:

  • It does nothing

EXP Clans

Eve

  • More EXP gain

Not strong in combat, but:

  • Amazing for progression

If you’re grinding levels, this is actually very useful.

Common Clans

There are a LOT of these (Fushiguro, Nanami, Miwa, etc.), but here’s the honest take:

  • Most of them don’t give strong unique bonuses
  • They benefit from +25% EXP gain

So they’re:

  • Good for early progression
  • Not competitive late game

If you just want the best overall:

  • Gojo / Nier / Zenin → top-tier no matter what
  • Itadori → best if you’re skilled
  • Todo / Panda → safest and most consistent

If you’re grinding:

  • Go Eve or any common clan for EXP

If you like experimenting:

  • Try Amai or Nishimiya builds
