If you’ve been playing Adopt Me! lately, you’ve probably noticed that the Endangered Egg has taken the place of the Aztec Egg in the Gumball Machine. And yes, if you’re trying to collect the new pets, now is the time to start grabbing a few.
The good news is that getting the Endangered Egg isn’t particularly complicated. You can buy it with Bucks, get one through the Task Board, pick up a Robux bundle, or simply trade with another player. The bigger question is what you should actually do with the eggs once you have them.
I’ll go through the ways to get the Endangered Egg, how hatching works, all of its pets and chances, and when it makes more sense to keep an egg instead of trading it away.
Adopt Me Endangered Egg Guide – How to Get, Hatch & Trade
There are currently four main ways to get an Endangered Egg:
- Buy one from the Gumball Machine
- Complete your Task Board quests
- Purchase the Endangered Egg Robux Bundle
- Trade with another player
For most players, the Gumball Machine will be the easiest option because you don’t have to depend on another player or a random reward.
Just keep in mind that the Endangered Egg is a limited egg. It won’t stay in the Gumball Machine forever, so if you’re interested in its pets, don’t assume you’ll be able to buy it months from now.
Buy the Endangered Egg From the Gumball Machine
The most straightforward way to get an Endangered Egg is to buy one directly from the Gumball Machine inside the Nursery on Adoption Island.
Each egg costs:
750 Bucks
So if you’re planning to hatch a bunch of them, start saving your Bucks. One or two eggs won’t hurt too much, but trying to hunt for the 3% Legendary pets can get expensive surprisingly quickly.
The nice thing about this method is that there is no extra requirement. Have 750 Bucks, go to the Gumball Machine, and buy the egg while it’s available.
If you’ve already collected the pets you’re after, though, I’d probably stop spending Bucks on additional eggs and save for whatever comes to the Gumball Machine next.
Get an Endangered Egg From the Task Board
Don’t forget about the Task Board either.
The Task Board gives you three daily tasks. They’re generally things you can complete naturally while playing, so you don’t have to go out of your way too much.
After completing all three daily tasks, you have a chance to receive an Endangered Egg.
The important word here is chance. It’s not a guaranteed egg every day, so you shouldn’t expect one simply because you finished your tasks.
Still, it’s one of the better options if you’re trying to save Bucks. You’re basically doing activities you’d probably be doing anyway and getting another opportunity at an Endangered Egg.
And even when the egg doesn’t drop, the Task Board still gives you other rewards, so there’s not really a reason to skip it.
Endangered Egg Robux Bundle
If you want several Endangered Eggs immediately and don’t mind spending Robux, there is also a bundle available.
The Endangered Egg Bundle costs 99 Robux and gives you four Endangered Eggs.
That’s obviously much faster than earning enough Bucks for several individual eggs, especially if you’re trying to hatch a lot of them at once.
I’d only recommend buying it if you actually want to spend Robux on the eggs, though. The bundle is tied to the limited Endangered Egg, so make sure the bundle is still available before purchasing it.
Trade for an Endangered Egg
The fourth option is probably the one experienced Adopt Me! traders will be most interested in: trading.
You can offer another player pets, items, or other eggs in exchange for an Endangered Egg.
The advantage here is that you don’t need 750 Bucks or Robux. If you’ve got spare pets or items sitting around that you don’t particularly care about, you may be able to turn them into an Endangered Egg.
Just don’t rush into a bad trade because you want the egg.
The value of limited eggs can change quite a bit, especially as players start collecting their pets and the egg eventually leaves the Gumball Machine. Take a look at current community trading values and compare offers before you accept anything.
How to Hatch the Endangered Egg
Once you’ve got the egg, the fun part begins.
Like other eggs in Adopt Me!, the Endangered Egg needs to be cared for before it can hatch. You’ll need to complete its care tasks, which can involve things like feeding, washing, and playing with it.
For the Endangered Egg, you need to complete at least five care tasks before it hatches.
Once you’ve finished the required tasks, the egg will hatch into one of the pets from its pool.
And this is where things get interesting, because the Legendary pets have considerably lower chances than the more common ones.

The Endangered Egg has ten different pets in its hatch pool, ranging from Common to Legendary.

The Blue Whale and Sea Turtle are the two Legendary pets in the Endangered Egg, and each has a 3% hatch chance.
So don’t be surprised if you hatch several eggs without seeing one. They’re intentionally the hardest pets to pull from this egg.
Which Endangered Egg Pets Are Hardest to Get?
If you’re mainly interested in the rarest pets, your targets are obviously the Blue Whale and Sea Turtle.
Both are Legendary and have only a 3% chance of hatching from each Endangered Egg.
The two Ultra-Rare pets, Black-Footed Ferret and Pangolin, are more common at 12% each, while the Common California Condor and Galapagos Sea Lion have the highest individual chances at 35%.
So if you’re opening eggs specifically for a Legendary, prepare for a bit of a grind. Getting lucky on your first egg is possible, but you shouldn’t expect it.
Should You Hatch or Trade Your Endangered Egg?
This really comes down to what you’re trying to do in Adopt Me!
If you’re a collector and don’t have the Endangered Egg pets yet, I’d lean toward hatching your eggs. There’s not much point in trading away an egg when you’re still missing several of the pets inside it.
The Legendary pets are especially worth chasing if you’re trying to complete the collection.
On the other hand, if you’ve already got the pets you wanted, your extra Endangered Eggs become much more interesting as trade material.
Limited eggs can become more desirable after they leave the Gumball Machine, so keeping a few extras isn’t necessarily a bad idea either.
Personally, I’d split the difference: hatch enough eggs to get the pets you’re missing, then consider keeping the leftovers rather than immediately throwing them into a random trade.
Endangered Egg Trading Tips
If you decide to trade your eggs, don’t just accept the first offer that pops up.
Here are a few things I’d keep in mind:
- Check current community values before trading.
- Compare multiple offers instead of accepting the first one.
- Look for players who specifically want Endangered Eggs.
- Don’t overpay just because you’re missing one particular pet.
- Use duplicate eggs to trade for pets you still need.
- Be careful with complicated or uneven offers.
- Check every item in the trade window before confirming.
It can also help to ask the other player what they’re actually looking for. You might have an item they want that is worth less to you than it is to them, which can make for a much better trade.
And, as always with Adopt Me! trading, don’t feel pressured to accept something just because another player is rushing you.
What’s the Best Way to Get Endangered Eggs?
For most players, I’d stick with the Gumball Machine if you have enough Bucks. At 750 Bucks per egg, it’s the most predictable way to build up a supply.
If you’re trying to save your money, do the Task Board every day. The egg isn’t guaranteed, but you’re getting a chance at one without directly spending 750 Bucks.
The 99 Robux bundle is the fastest option if you want four eggs immediately and are comfortable spending Robux.
And finally, trading is a good choice if you already have spare pets or items that you can put toward an Endangered Egg.
Should You Save Endangered Eggs?
If you don’t need the pets immediately, saving a few eggs could be worth considering.
The Endangered Egg won’t be in the Gumball Machine forever, and once it leaves, players who missed it will have to rely on trading if they want one.
That doesn’t automatically mean your egg will become extremely valuable, so I wouldn’t treat every Endangered Egg like an investment. But keeping a couple of extras instead of trading everything away immediately gives you more options later.
For collectors, I’d prioritize getting the pets first. After that, you can decide whether your remaining eggs are worth holding or trading.
