If you’re trying to finish the Reaper quest, this is the exact route you need to follow. There are three spirits you have to find, and each one takes a different item. I’ll walk you through where each one is and what you need to do, just like how I went through it.
One thing I’ll say right away, the spirits can look kind of weird. Sometimes they’re visible, sometimes they’re not, so don’t get confused if you feel like nothing is there. The location is what matters.
First Spirit Location (Rosa Volcano)
So the first spirit is over at Rosa Volcano.
You want to head all the way up to the top cliff, right on the edge. Once you’re there, you’ll find the spirit standing there, or at least that’s where it’s supposed to be.
This is where you give the Soul Reaper handle.
Like I said earlier, the spirit might not always show properly, which is kind of weird, but if you’re at the right spot, you’re good. Just interact there and hand it over.
Second Spirit Location (Enchanted Altar)
Next one is at the Enchanted Altar.
You’re going to want to go down towards the bottom area, and there’s a small ledge there. That’s where the spirit is located.
This one is tied to the Soul Bonds NPC, and this is where you give the second part.
It’s pretty straightforward once you’re in the right spot. Just go down to that ledge, and you’ll find it there.
Third Spirit Location (Living Garden)
The last one is in the Living Garden.
First, head over to the Innkeeper. He’s on the left side when you enter the area, so you’ll see him pretty easily.
From there, move to the right side, and that’s where the final spirit is.
This is where you give the Soul Reaper blade.
Once again, same thing applies, just make sure you’re in the correct spot and interact with it.
Finishing the Quest
After you’ve talked to all three spirits and handed in all the parts, you’re basically done.
All you need to do now is go back and talk to the Reaper NPC, and he’ll give you the rod.
That’s it. No extra steps, no hidden requirements.
Reaper Rod Showcase
Now once you get the rod, this is what you’re working with.
Visually, it actually looks pretty nice. It has that fog and smoke effect around it, which fits the whole Reaper theme really well.
Here are the stats:
- Lure Speed: Basically infinite
- Luck: 288
- Control: 0.17
- Resilience: 16.6
- Max KG: Infinite
- Progress Speed: +33
So stat-wise, it’s actually solid.
Ability and Effects
When you cast with it, there’s a small effect where a tombstone pops up.
From what I saw, it can pull fish towards you and also give extra fish sometimes. It also applies something called the paranormal mutation.
I’m not fully sure what the exact multiplier is on that, but it definitely does something noticeable.
There’s also a chance-based effect tied to it, so it doesn’t trigger every time.
Another thing I noticed is that it might affect size, since I was getting things like giant and big while using it.
Overall, it’s a pretty cool rod.
It’s not overly complicated to get once you know where the spirits are, and the quest itself is pretty straightforward.
The design is clean, the effects are unique, and the stats are solid enough to actually use it.
If you’re already doing the Reaper quest, just follow these three locations and you’ll have it in no time.
