Anime Astral Simulator Update 12 is here, and this update brings a brand-new Tokyo Ghoul-themed world, new pets and avatars, a new raid, Astral Gacha content, progression systems, a new world boss, an Insane Time Trial difficulty, friend leaderboards, new rewards, and more.

Update 12 is also known as the Tokyo Ghoul Update, with the new content centered around World 16: Tokyo Ward.

The main attraction is obviously the new Tokyo Ghoul world, but several of the progression systems are also important for improving your account.

The new update introduces World 16: Tokyo Ward, which serves as the main Tokyo Ghoul-themed area.

The world contains new enemies, quests, collectibles, and progression content.

You’ll need to work through the new quest line to access some of the update’s content, including the new world boss.

There are also normal missions that require you to defeat enemies before you can progress through the world.

Update 12 adds a new main quest line and a side quest.

As usual, make sure you pick up the available side quests whenever you enter a new world.

There are also new global progression quests, including objectives such as:

One of the major additions is the new CCG Extermination Gacha.

It is located in World 16 and uses CCG Tokens to roll.

The gacha contains new Astral items, including the extremely rare Dragon Endurance Authority.

The update also adds a new rarity chase item with an incredibly low drop chance, so don’t expect to get the rarest rewards quickly.

Make sure you collect CCG Tokens while progressing through the new content so you can continue rolling.

Update 12 also introduces the Owl Suppression Raid.

The raid is located in Tokyo World 16 and features 100 waves, with a boss appearing every five waves.

To enter, you need the required Owl-related currency dropped by enemies.

One particularly interesting feature is that every wave you clear gives you a free Kagune Gacha roll.

This makes the raid useful not only for completing waves but also for collecting new Kagune-related rewards.

The new raid can reward several different items and currencies, including:

• CCG Shards

• Ghoul Tokens

• RC Cells

• Relic Tokens

The raid also introduces a new collection of Kagune options.

Only one Kagune can be equipped at a time, and the equipped Kagune is visible on your character.

A brand-new Cogni upgrade system has also been added.

You can feed RC Cells into your Cogni to increase its strength.

The more RC Cells you invest, the higher your boost becomes.

The new RC Cells are obtained through the Owl Suppression Raid.

Different Cogni upgrades can provide different bonuses, including:

• Power

• Damage

• Yen

• XP

• Drop rate

• Luck

• Kill rate

• Critical chance

• Critical damage

• Shiny chance

Each Cogni type keeps its own progress, so switching between different upgrade types does not erase the cells you’ve already invested.

There can be up to three boosts on each type, with the second and third boosts unlocking after enough RC Cells have been invested.

This makes RC Cells an important resource to farm if you want to maximize your account.

The update also adds a new Ghoul progression system.

You can progress through it using Ghoul Tokens, which can be obtained through the new Tokyo Ghoul content.

This provides another progression path alongside relics, Cogni upgrades, and the new raid.

Anime Astral Simulator Update 12 also introduces a new Tokyo world boss.

However, you may need to complete the required quest line before accessing the boss portal.

The quest requirements appear in the top-right portion of the screen.

Once you’ve completed the necessary quests, you’ll be able to access the world boss and work toward its new rewards.

The boss also has a new relic associated with it.

A new Insane difficulty has been added to Time Trial.

The new difficulty extends the available progression into the later worlds, reaching World 15.

The update also changes some of the rewards available from Time Trial.

For example, Hard difficulty now gives two Trial Shards per kill instead of one.

A new Friends tab has been added to the game’s leaderboards.

Instead of only looking at your global ranking, you can now compare your progress with your friends.

The leaderboard includes categories such as:

• Enemy kills

• Play time

• Yen

• Power

• Robux spent

• Free-to-play ranking

• Pay-to-win ranking

Your global position is also shown when applicable.

Friends may appear after they participate in the relevant activity, and the leaderboard refreshes periodically while you’re near the board.

Update 12 also adds a new 2x XP Game Pass.

This provides double XP from everything.

The pass is also included in the game’s Game Pass bundles.

If you’re trying to level up quickly toward the new level cap, this can significantly speed up progression.

A new Battle Pass has been added alongside the update.

The Battle Pass is connected to the new game-mode progression and contains additional rewards.

Players can access the Battle Pass station and claim rewards as they progress.

A Premium Battle Pass option is also available.

The welcome rewards have also been updated.
