Anime Overload Tier List Guide – Best Units & Characters

If you’ve been playing Anime Overload for a bit, you’ve probably noticed something: not all “mythics” feel equal. Some units absolutely carry your entire run, while others look strong on paper but fall off when it actually matters.

Instead of just throwing a ranking at you, this guide explains why certain units are meta, how they perform in real gameplay, and which ones are actually worth grinding for.

Anime Overload Tier List Guide – Best Units & Characters

Strongest Alien

Strongest Alien is the highest damage unit in the game because his passive keeps increasing his power over time, and once fully stacked, he can melt bosses and even wipe the entire map with his ultimate.

Sukuna

Sukuna is one of the most reliable DPS units since he deals high base damage, applies bleed that effectively doubles his output, slows enemies, and can ignore shields, making him strong in almost every situation.

Bolt Hero

Bolt Hero is a boss-focused unit that becomes stronger the longer he fights, and his ultimate can clear the entire map, which makes him extremely powerful especially in late-game waves.

Devil Knight

Devil Knight is a hybrid unit that deals solid damage while also buffing certain unit types, but he requires the right team composition to be effective or else his buffs can actually work against you.

Gojo

Gojo is a support-heavy unit who weakens enemies, slows them, ignores shields, and can stun the entire map, making him extremely valuable for controlling difficult waves.

Cha

Cha is a high-scaling damage unit whose power builds over time through her flow state, allowing her to reach very high burst damage, but she takes longer to become effective compared to other top DPS units.

Sasuke

Sasuke is a unique utility unit who can reposition himself across the map and apply effects like burn and enemy control, but his abilities depend on chance, making him less consistent.

Death Surgeon

Death Surgeon acts as a support DPS who applies damage-over-time and slows enemies, making fights easier, but he doesn’t carry games on his own.

Grey

Grey is a freeze-based support unit who can slow and weaken enemies through frost effects, but his effectiveness depends on stacking those effects, which can take time.

Yuno

Yuno is an air-focused unit who can slow airborne enemies and deal decent damage, but his usefulness is limited because his abilities don’t affect all enemy types.

Beak

Beak is good for clearing weaker enemies early in the game thanks to his bonus damage on low-health targets, but he becomes much less useful in harder content.

Susano

Susano is one of the best support units because he can repeatedly stun enemies across a large area, making it much easier to control waves and survive difficult stages.

Escanor

Escanor is the main farming unit in the game, and while he doesn’t deal much damage, he is essential because he generates the money needed to upgrade your main units quickly.

If you simplify everything:

  • Strongest Alien and Sukuna = best damage
  • Bolt Hero = best boss killer
  • Gojo and Susano = best support/control
  • Escanor = essential for economy

Everything else is useful, but these are the units that actually define how easy or hard your gameplay feels.
