Anime Squadron Update 2.5 Guide – Crusader Desert, Codes

Anime Squadron Update 2.5 is here, and this time we’re heading into JoJo territory. The update adds the new Crusader Desert Event, a limited-time summon banner, several JoJo-inspired units, new gear, and—because apparently we needed another currency to hoard—Crusader Bills.

The good news is that this event is pretty straightforward.

There aren’t ten different materials to collect or some confusing evolution chain you need to figure out before doing anything useful. You basically clear the three Crusader Desert stages, farm the highest Act your team can comfortably AFK, collect Crusader Bills, and dump them into the limited banner.

I’ve gone through what each stage gives you, how difficult Act 3 actually is, where to farm Crusader Bills, the new gear drops, and how much currency you’ll need if you end up going all the way to Secret pity.

Update 2.5 is mainly built around the new JoJo-themed Crusader Desert Event.

The important additions are:

• Crusader Desert limited event

• Three new event stages

• Crusader Bills event currency

• Limited-time JoJo summon banner

• New Secret unit

• Multiple new JoJo units

• Dio-themed equipment

• Stand Arrow

• New update codes

• New bundles and skins

If you’re coming back specifically for Update 2.5, the Crusader Desert is where you’ll be spending most of your time.

It appears to have replaced the previous event and has its own progression and currency.

Open the event area and select Crusader Desert.

You’ll find three stages:

Stage 1 → Stage 2 → Stage 3

You’ll need to work through them in order before settling into the actual farming grind.

Each stage increases the difficulty but also gives you more Crusader Bills, so your eventual goal should be clearing Stage 3 consistently.

The stages also have different Dio equipment associated with them.

If you’re capable of clearing Stage 3 without babysitting your units, there’s very little reason to repeatedly farm the earlier stages purely for currency.

Honestly, the event isn’t particularly brutal if you’ve already been playing Anime Squadron.

Even a team without the strongest units from the previous Naruto update was capable of clearing all three stages.

That makes Crusader Desert fairly approachable for established players.

Stage 1 is especially easy and serves more as an introduction to the event than a serious challenge.

Stage 2 bumps things up a little, while Stage 3 is where you’ll encounter a much larger enemy health pool and another mechanic you’ll need to account for.

Still, this isn’t an event where you necessarily need a completely new meta team before you can participate.

Stage 1 is your first Crusader Desert clear and shouldn’t present much of a problem if your account has reasonable progression.

The enemies in the showcased run had around 15 million HP, but they still went down without requiring an optimized endgame team.

Simply set up your strongest damage units, upgrade them properly, and let them work through the stage.

You can earn:

35 Crusader Bills per clear

More importantly, Stage 1 can drop Dio’s Hair.

The gear was obtained on the very first showcased clear, although that was simply good luck rather than a guaranteed reward.

The displayed drop rate was:

5%

So don’t go into Stage 1 expecting Dio’s Hair every run.

Dio’s Hair is more interesting than I expected from an early-stage event drop.

Its effect applies 1% cooldown to an enemy with every hit, with a universal cap of:

20% Cooldown

That gives fast-hitting units an interesting way to build the effect against enemies.

If you’re collecting every Update 2.5 gear piece anyway, you’ll probably end up farming Stage 1 beyond the initial clear unless RNG is unusually generous.

After completing the first stage, move on to Stage 2.

There isn’t a dramatic mechanical change here. Think of it as a tougher version of the same event with better rewards.

Stage 2 gives:

100 Crusader Bills

It is also associated with Dio’s Jacket, making it another stage you’ll potentially have to revisit if you’re trying to complete the Dio equipment set.

The difficulty is still manageable.

If you cleared Stage 1 without any trouble, try Stage 2 before worrying about changing your entire team.

And once Stage 3 is unlocked, that’s where your Crusader Bill farming should move.

Stage 3 is the important one.

This is the stage you’ll most likely be leaving on repeat or AFK farming because it provides the highest amount of Crusader Bills.

The main enemy was shown with approximately:

45 million HP

There’s another complication here too:

Enemies can dodge.

That makes Stage 3 noticeably more demanding than the previous two stages, particularly if your team struggles against dodge mechanics.

Even so, the showcased team—which wasn’t using the strongest possible current setup—managed to clear it in approximately:

3 minutes 35 seconds

That’s not a particularly fast clear, but it proves you don’t need a perfect team just to finish the event.

If you’ve farmed strong units from previous updates, your own clear can potentially be considerably faster.

Completing Crusader Desert Stage 3 was shown giving:

Stage 3 is also where you’ll be hunting the corresponding Dio’s Pants gear reward.

The real attraction, however, is those 250 Crusader Bills.

That’s what makes this the stage you want to repeatedly farm.

Crusader Bills are the main currency for the Update 2.5 JoJo event.

The easiest farming method is:

Unlock Crusader Desert Stage 3 and repeatedly clear it.

The currency difference between stages makes the choice pretty obvious:

Stage 1: 35 Bills Stage 2: 100 Bills Stage 3: 250 Bills

One Stage 3 clear gives you more than seven Stage 1 clears worth of currency.

So once you’ve unlocked Stage 3, don’t keep farming Stage 1 for Crusader Bills unless you’re specifically trying to obtain its gear drop.

If your team can reliably AFK Stage 3, that’s even better.

Set up a stable team, make sure your placements and upgrades don’t require constant attention, and use Stage 3 as your main event currency farm.

I wouldn’t overcomplicate this update.

First, clear Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3.

After that, decide what you actually need.

If you’re missing Dio gear from an earlier stage, go back and farm that specific Act.

If you’re mainly interested in the new JoJo units, stay on Stage 3 and farm Crusader Bills.

That’s basically your Update 2.5 loop:

Farm Stage 3 → Earn Crusader Bills → Summon → Repeat

The event becomes very AFK-friendly once your team can comfortably handle the final stage.

The JoJo units are available through a limited-time banner using Crusader Bills.

One summon costs:

40 Crusader Bills

The banner includes several new characters, including units based on JoJo characters such as Joseph, Jotaro, Avdol, and Dio.

The showcased banner also had a very low top-unit rate of:

0.05%

That’s where the pity system becomes important.

The limited banner shows a Secret pity of 5,000 summons.

Since each summon costs 40 Crusader Bills:

5,000 × 40 = 200,000 Crusader Bills

So if you somehow reach the full Secret pity without obtaining the target naturally, you’re looking at:

200,000 Crusader Bills

Yes.

Two hundred thousand.

Suddenly those 250-Bill Stage 3 clears don’t look quite as generous.

Let’s take the calculation one step further.

If Stage 3 gives 250 Crusader Bills per completion and Secret pity costs 200,000:

200,000 ÷ 250 = 800 clears

That means starting from zero would theoretically require around:

800 Stage 3 clears

to earn enough Crusader Bills for the full 5,000-summon pity.

That’s assuming you’re relying entirely on the standard Stage 3 reward and ignoring currency from codes or any other sources.

So yes, if you’re targeting the Secret through guaranteed pity, this is very much an AFK grind.

There’s another useful calculation to know.

One summon costs 40 Crusader Bills, while Stage 3 gives 250.

250 ÷ 40 = 6.25

So every Stage 3 completion earns enough currency for roughly six summons, with 10 Crusader Bills left over.

After four clears:

250 × 4 = 1,000 Crusader Bills

That’s enough for:

25 summons

Thinking about the grind this way makes it easier to judge whether you want to chase the Secret or just summon casually and hope RNG does you a favor.

One of the new characters obtainable from the banner is Joseph.

His base passive is actually pretty interesting.

Every 7 seconds, Joseph targets a random enemy within range with Hamon.

That enemy loses:

100% Dodge for 3 seconds

If the target is still alive after those three seconds, a random ally within Joseph’s range receives:

50% Dodge

That makes Joseph particularly interesting for Crusader Desert Stage 3 because enemies there can dodge.

Rather than relying entirely on raw damage to brute-force the stage, having a character capable of removing enemy dodge can make your team’s damage much more consistent.

There are also several codes associated with the update.

The showcased rewards included:

The 5,000 Crusader Bills reward is particularly useful because it gives you a nice head start on the limited banner.

At 40 Bills per summon:

5,000 ÷ 40 = 125 summons

That’s 125 event summons without needing to farm Stage 3 first.

Since Roblox game codes can expire or change quickly, I’d redeem the Update 2.5 codes before settling into the event grind rather than saving them for later.

If you’re starting Update 2.5 fresh, I’d keep the progression simple.

Clear all three Crusader Desert stages first.

Don’t stop to endlessly farm Stage 1 just because Dio’s Hair didn’t drop. Unlock Stage 3 so you have access to the best Crusader Bill farm.

Once Stage 3 is unlocked, you can choose between two priorities.

If you want new units, farm Stage 3.

If you want Dio’s gear, return to whichever stage drops the equipment you’re missing.

That way, you’re not slowing down your event progression by chasing a 5% gear drop before you’ve even unlocked the best currency source.

Yes, and that’s probably how most established players will approach Update 2.5.

Once you have a team capable of reliably beating the 45 million HP enemies and their dodge mechanic, Crusader Desert Stage 3 becomes a straightforward currency farm.

You don’t necessarily need the absolute best team in Anime Squadron either.

The showcased run used a less-than-perfect team and still finished in around three and a half minutes.

Players with stronger previous-update units should have an easier time.

Your goal isn’t necessarily to set a speedrun record. You want a team that can finish Stage 3 consistently without intervention.

Reliability matters more than shaving a few seconds off the clear if you’re planning to leave the game farming for a long time.

Crusader Desert is the new JoJo-themed limited event introduced with Anime Squadron Update 2.5.

Dio’s Hair can drop from Crusader Desert Stage 1, with a displayed 5% drop chance.

Each hit applies 1% cooldown to the enemy, up to a universal 20% cooldown cap.
