Random events are one of the biggest challenges in Bumpy Flight. A flight can seem completely normal one moment, and then an unexpected event can force you to stop what you’re doing and deal with a new problem.

Some events mainly affect passengers, while others can directly put the aircraft in danger. In this guide, I’ll go through the known events in Bumpy Flight, explain what happens during each one, and show you what you should do to handle them.

The Ice event causes the temperature around the aircraft to drop while ice begins covering the plane. Compared with some of the other events, this one is fairly easy to manage.

The main problem you’ll need to deal with is passenger comfort. Some passengers may become cold and ask for blankets.

When the Ice event starts, I recommend keeping an eye on the passengers while making sure the aircraft continues flying normally.

When you notice the temperature dropping:

• Check which passengers are affected by the cold.

• Give them blankets when needed.

• Keep the aircraft under control.

• Continue monitoring the cabin.

• Respond to other passenger requests as they appear.

The Ice event should eventually clear, allowing you to return to your normal flight duties.

Turbulence makes the aircraft shake and can make moving around the cabin more difficult.

While turbulence isn’t necessarily an immediate threat to the aircraft, it can make it harder for the crew to complete other tasks.

The first thing you should do is make an announcement telling passengers to remain in their seats.

If you’re playing with a team, the pilot should stay focused on flying while everyone else avoids unnecessary movement around the cabin.

When turbulence begins:

• Make the required passenger announcement.

• Tell everyone to remain seated.

• Keep monitoring the aircraft.

• Avoid unnecessary movement around the cabin.

• Let the pilot concentrate on controlling the plane.

The main goal here is to keep everyone organized until the turbulence passes.

The Storm event is more dangerous than normal turbulence because the weather can interfere with the aircraft’s movement and make it harder to maintain a stable flight.

When the storm starts, make the required announcement and tell passengers to stay in their seats.

After that, your main priority should be keeping the aircraft under control.

Avoid making large or unnecessary control adjustments. If you notice the plane drifting or losing altitude, make small corrections to bring it back under control.

A team makes Storm events much easier to manage because everyone can focus on a different responsibility.

I recommend dividing the work like this:

• Pilot: Controls the aircraft.

• Passenger crew: Monitors and helps passengers.

• Engineer: Prepares for possible repairs.

• Other crew members: Handle urgent requests.

The most important thing is making sure the storm doesn’t distract the pilot from flying the aircraft.

The Power Outage event shuts down the aircraft’s power, meaning you’ll need to repair the power system before everything can return to normal.

For this repair, you’ll need a wrench.

You can obtain a wrench from the Order Terminal, which is located near the cockpit and refrigerator.

Once you have the wrench, head toward the rear of the aircraft near the luggage area. You’ll find the power supply there.

Follow these steps:

• Get a wrench from the Order Terminal.

• Head toward the rear of the aircraft.

• Find the power supply.

• Use the wrench to repair the power box.

• Wait for the power to be restored.

• Return to your normal duties.

I recommend getting a wrench before takeoff if possible. Having one ready can save you a lot of time when an outage happens unexpectedly.

Engine Failure is one of the most dangerous events you can encounter.

When an engine stops working, the aircraft can begin losing altitude. This means you don’t have unlimited time to fix the problem.

You’ll need a wrench to repair the engine, but unlike the power supply, you need to leave the cabin and head onto the aircraft’s wing.

Once you reach the damaged engine, use the wrench to repair it.

When an engine fails:

• Get your wrench.

• Move toward the damaged engine.

• Go onto the aircraft’s wing.

• Reach the broken engine.

• Use the wrench to repair it.

• Return to the cockpit once the repair is finished.

At the same time, the aircraft still needs to be controlled.

This event is much easier when you’re playing with other people.

One player can remain in the cockpit and keep the aircraft stable while another player leaves the plane and repairs the engine.

This means the pilot doesn’t have to abandon the controls during an emergency.

If you’re playing alone, Engine Failure becomes considerably more difficult.

You’ll need to leave the cockpit to repair the engine, meaning you can’t focus on flying at the same time.

This is another reason why having a wrench ready before takeoff is so useful. You don’t want to waste additional time looking for one after the engine has already failed.

Random events can happen at inconvenient times, so preparation is extremely important.

The last thing you want is to start searching for basic equipment after the aircraft is already in trouble.

Before taking off, visit the Order Terminal and prepare useful items. A wrench is especially important because you can need it for both Power Outages and Engine Failures.

You should also familiarize yourself with the important areas of the aircraft.

Try to learn where these areas are:

• Cockpit

• Refrigerator

• Order Terminal

• Power supply

• Engine areas

• Passenger seating area

• Cargo/luggage area

Once you know the layout, you’ll be able to reach the correct location much faster during an emergency.

If you’re playing Bumpy Flight with friends, assigning everyone a specific role can make random events much easier to handle.

A simple team setup could look like this:

The pilot’s main job is to control the aircraft and monitor its altitude.

During dangerous events like storms and engine failures, the pilot should prioritize keeping the plane in the air.

The co-pilot can help monitor the aircraft and assist the pilot when necessary.

Having another person watching the plane can make it easier to react when something goes wrong.

The engineer should focus on repairs.

They’re especially useful during Power Outages and Engine Failures, as they can grab the necessary tools and handle the repair while the pilot stays in control.

Cabin crew members should focus on passengers.

They can provide blankets during the Ice event, make announcements during turbulence or storms, and deal with other passenger needs.

Additional players can handle food, water, medicine, and other requests while the rest of the team focuses on keeping the aircraft operational.

Not every event has the same level of danger.

Here’s how I’d rank the main events based on how much they can affect your flight:

The actual difficulty can depend heavily on whether you’re playing solo or with a coordinated team.

For example, an Engine Failure can be much easier with an engineer who can immediately repair the engine while the pilot continues flying.

The random events in Bumpy Flight are what make each flight unpredictable. Some, like Ice and Turbulence, are relatively easy to handle, while Storms, Power Outages, and especially Engine Failures can quickly turn a normal flight into an emergency.

The best thing you can do is prepare before takeoff. Keep a wrench ready, learn where the important areas of the plane are, and make sure everyone knows their role if you’re playing with a team.

Once you know what each event requires, you’ll be able to react much faster and prevent small problems from turning into a failed flight.
