DBZ Path to Power Level Guide – 1-1000 Level Tips

Published 26 Aug 2026, 10:10 am · 11 min read

If you are just starting DBZ Path to Power and want to level up as quickly as possible, knowing where to grind can save you a lot of time. In this guide, I’ll walk you through the leveling route I use, from the early levels all the way to Level 1,000 and beyond. We’ll cover quests, bosses, raids, Namek, Beerus’s Planet, Tournament of Power, and Hard TOP so you always know what you should be doing next.

The main thing you need to remember is that leveling in this game becomes much faster once you unlock raids. So, rather than wasting time grinding random enemies for hours, you want to move through the game and unlock the best XP sources as quickly as possible.

DBZ Path to Power Level Guide – 1-1000 Level Tips

When you are brand new, you obviously won’t have access to the best raids or endgame activities yet. Your first goal should simply be to progress through the early game.

I recommend getting to around Level 20 first and then starting to work through the bosses and quests available to you. At this point, just focus on progressing naturally and completing whatever content is available.

You don’t need to overthink the early levels. Your main objective is to reach Level 100, because that is when you can start getting into raids.

Once you reach Level 100, the entire leveling process becomes much easier.

Reach Level 100 and Unlock Raids

Level 100 is an important milestone because this is where you can finally start taking advantage of raids.

As soon as you unlock raids, I recommend switching your focus toward them instead of spending all your time doing normal missions. Raids are currently one of the best ways to gain large amounts of XP.

However, you will still want to continue progressing through the game’s areas because some of the better raids become available as you reach higher levels.

So your early progression should look something like:

Level 1 → Quests and bosses → Level 100 → Start using raids

From here, you can begin working toward Level 200, which is another major milestone.

Reach Level 200 and Start the Cell Raid

Once you reach around Level 200 and can access Namek, this is where I recommend really starting to grind the Cell Raid.

The Cell Raid is especially useful for players who are still under-leveled because it can provide a huge amount of XP compared with normal grinding.

At the time covered by this guide, the Cell Raid has a bug that allows players to repeatedly receive the bonus HP XP as though they had not completed it before. Because of that, the raid was giving around 2.5 million XP per completion.

That makes it an extremely strong option for leveling.

If you are around Level 200 and don’t know what you should be doing, I would honestly focus on getting your Cell Raid runs going. Instead of running around looking for small amounts of XP, you can repeatedly complete the raid and make much faster progress.

Grind the Cell Raid Until Around Level 500-600

Once you have access to the Cell Raid, I recommend staying with it for a while.

Your goal should be to use the Cell Raid to push yourself toward roughly Level 500 or even Level 600. You don’t necessarily have to stop at exactly one level because your progression will depend on how quickly you can complete the raid and how much XP you are getting.

The important part is that the Cell Raid should carry you through a large portion of the mid-game.

For me, this is one of the simplest parts of the leveling route:

Level 200 → Cell Raid → Level 500-600

Once you reach around Level 500, you can start looking toward some of the other raids and higher-level content.

Try the Majin Buu Raid Around Level 500

At around Level 500, you can start moving into other raids, including the Majin Buu Raid.

The first time you complete the Majin Buu Raid, it can be particularly useful. You can also access the harder version around this stage, depending on your progression and requirements.

If you don’t have another good raid available, Majin Buu is a solid alternative to keep your XP coming in.

I wouldn’t recommend completely abandoning the Cell Raid before you have a reason to. If Cell is still giving you excellent XP and you can complete it quickly, keep using it. The point is to always choose the activity that gives you the best XP for the amount of time you are spending.

Move to Beerus’s Planet Around Level 500-600

After you’ve made good progress through the Namek and raid stages, you can start moving toward Beerus’s Planet.

The guide recommends grinding there once you are around Level 500, with the goal of reaching approximately Level 600.

This is basically the transition point between the earlier raid-focused progression and the much stronger XP you can get from the Tournament of Power.

So your progression should now look like:

Level 500 → Beerus’s Planet → Level 600

Once you reach Level 600, you should start looking for a team to help you with TOP.

Start Normal Tournament of Power at Level 600

At around Level 600, you can start doing the normal Tournament of Power, or TOP.

This is where leveling starts becoming much faster.

A normal TOP completion can give around 100 million XP, which is dramatically more than the XP you were getting from most of the earlier content.

The only problem is that TOP is much harder than simply grinding normal enemies or early raids. You need a good team around you.

If you’re going to use TOP as your main leveling method, make sure the people you are playing with can actually carry the run.

I’ve seen plenty of situations where someone says they can solo or carry a run, only for the run to fall apart once the activity starts. So don’t just take someone’s word for it. You want players who actually know what they’re doing.

Choose the Right TOP Rewards

When you complete TOP, you also get a wish.

If your main goal is leveling, I recommend choosing the extra XP option when it is available.

This is especially useful because your entire goal at this point is to push your level as quickly as possible.

If you are not focused on leveling, you can choose other rewards depending on what you need. For example, you might want Dragon Balls, money, or another expensive resource that you are currently saving for.

But if your only objective is to reach Level 1,000 quickly, prioritize XP.

Make Sure You Have a Strong TOP Team

This is probably one of the most important tips in the entire guide.

Don’t jump into TOP with a random group that cannot complete the activity reliably.

You want a team that has enough strong players to handle the content and, ideally, players who can carry the weaker members.

The better your team is, the more consistently you can farm TOP, and consistency matters because you’re going to be repeating these runs over and over.

If you have friends who are already strong in the game, this is the perfect time to play with them.

If you don’t have anyone who can help you, you can also look for players through the Path to Power Discord server. This can make a huge difference because finding experienced players is much easier than trying to complete difficult content with random players.

Use the Path to Power Discord if You Need Carries

If you don’t have a strong friend group, don’t assume you have to grind everything alone.

The Path to Power Discord server is a useful place to find people who can help with raids and TOP runs.

I’ve personally seen how useful a good community can be for this kind of progression. Experienced players can help you get through content that would otherwise take you much longer to complete.

You can find people for TOP runs, raids, and other progression activities there.

So if you’re stuck because you don’t have a team, joining the community can be one of the easiest ways to fix that problem.

Push Toward Level 800 With Normal TOP

Once you start completing normal TOP consistently, your levels should begin climbing very quickly.

The guide suggests that after your first few TOP completions, you could potentially be around Level 800, depending on your XP bonuses and how efficiently your team completes the runs.

At this stage, normal TOP should become one of your main sources of XP.

You don’t need to constantly switch between different activities anymore. If TOP is giving you huge amounts of XP and your team can complete it reliably, just keep running it.

This is why the leveling route becomes much simpler later in the game.

Move to Hard TOP Around Level 800-1000

Once you reach around Level 800, you can start considering Hard TOP if you have a strong enough team.

I would not recommend rushing into Hard TOP with a weak party just because it gives more XP.

Hard TOP is significantly more demanding, so having strong players with you is extremely important.

The guide recommends having a large and capable party. If your group has fewer than around seven players, you may want to avoid attempting it unless you are absolutely confident in the team’s ability.

Having more players gives you additional support and makes the runs much more reliable.

If your team is strong enough, however, Hard TOP becomes one of the best ways to continue leveling.

Hard TOP Gives Massive XP

Hard TOP can give around 200 million XP per completion.

That’s already extremely strong, but XP boosts can make it even better.

If you have 2x XP, the rewards can become even more impressive. According to the guide, a 2x XP bonus can increase a Hard TOP completion to around 400 million XP.

Normal TOP with 2x XP can similarly reach around 200 million XP.

That means an XP boost can have a huge impact when you’re already farming an activity that gives hundreds of millions of XP.

So if you have an XP multiplier available, this is one of the best times to take advantage of it.

200 Million XP Can Give You Huge Level Gains

When you’re still relatively under-leveled, receiving around 200 million XP from a single completion can result in a massive number of levels.

The exact number will depend on your current level and the game’s current XP requirements, but the guide estimates that a 200 million XP reward can potentially give around 50-60 levels for some players.

That is why TOP is so powerful for leveling.

Instead of spending a long time completing individual quests for small amounts of XP, one successful TOP run can potentially move your level bar forward by dozens of levels.

The Complete Leveling Route

If you want the entire progression route in a simple format, this is the path I would follow based on the guide:

Level 1-20: Complete your early quests and progress normally.

Level 20-100: Focus on bosses, quests, and whatever early-game content you need to reach Level 100.

Level 100-200: Start using raids and continue progressing toward Namek.

Level 200-500: Farm the Cell Raid for its large XP rewards.

Level 500-600: Continue using raids such as Majin Buu and begin progressing through Beerus’s Planet.

Level 600-800: Start farming normal Tournament of Power with a strong team.

Level 800-1000: Move into Hard TOP if you have a strong enough party.

Level 1000+: Continue farming Hard TOP and use XP boosts whenever possible.

This gives you a very straightforward progression path without constantly wondering where you should grind next.

What I Would Focus on at Each Stage

The easiest way to remember the guide is to think of your progression in stages.

During the early game, quests and bosses are your main source of progression.

Once you reach Level 100, start using raids.

At Level 200, make the Cell Raid your main focus.

Around Level 500, look into Majin Buu and other available raids, while progressing toward Beerus’s Planet.

At Level 600, start farming normal TOP with a reliable team.

At around Level 800 or higher, consider moving into Hard TOP if your team is strong enough.

Once you’re at the higher levels, TOP becomes the main activity you should be farming for XP.

Use XP Boosts Whenever You Can

If you have access to 2x XP, use it strategically.

The higher the XP reward from an activity, the more valuable your multiplier becomes.

For example, doubling a small quest reward isn’t nearly as impactful as doubling a TOP completion worth hundreds of millions of XP.

So if you’re saving your XP boosts, I’d personally use them while farming the highest-paying content you can reliably complete.

Just make sure you don’t waste your boost on an activity that your team cannot consistently finish.

Don’t Try to Solo Everything

One mistake I would avoid is trying to do all of this completely by yourself.

The later parts of the progression are heavily dependent on strong teams, especially TOP and Hard TOP.

If you already have strong friends, definitely use them.

If you don’t, look for a community or Discord group where experienced players are running the same content.

A good team can save you a huge amount of grinding time.

The leveling system in DBZ Path to Power isn’t actually that complicated once you understand where the big XP rewards are.

The main strategy is simply to move through the game until you unlock better XP sources, then stop spending your time on weaker content.

Your overall route should be:

Quests and bosses → Raids → Cell Raid → Majin Buu/other raids → Beerus’s Planet → Normal TOP → Hard TOP

The biggest thing I would remember is that raids are the key to the early and mid-game, while TOP becomes the key to the late game.

If you’re starting from Level 1, don’t worry about reaching 1,000 immediately. Just focus on hitting the next milestone, unlocking the next XP source, and moving forward.

Once you have a strong team and access to TOP, your levels can start flying up.

And if you don’t have people to play with, make sure you look for a good Path to Power community so you can find reliable players for your runs.

With the right route, good teammates, and XP boosts, getting from Level 1 to Level 1,000 becomes much more manageable.
