Doors Archive Subfloor Walkthrough – Complete Archive Subfloor

Published 30 Aug 2026, 5:26 am · 9 min read

The Archives are one of the longest and most unusual Subfloors in Doors. Instead of a normal run through a few dozen rooms, you’re dealing with a massive 1,300-door journey split into multiple sections.

Thankfully, you aren’t expected to clear all 1,300 doors one by one. You can collect Gold to skip entire sections, use safe areas to recover your health, and eventually leave the Archives whenever you want.

This guide covers how the Archive Subfloor works, how to heal, which sections are worth visiting, and how to survive every major entity you’ll encounter.

How to Complete the Archive Subfloor in Doors

The Archives are divided into 26 sections, with each section containing 50 doors. That adds up to 1,300 doors in total.

The first area is Section A, which is relatively easy compared with the later sections. You may encounter entities such as Drones and Bash, but the difficulty increases as you progress.

Once you reach Door 50 in a section, you’ll enter a safer area. This gives you an opportunity to:

• Recover some health

• Collect additional Gold

• Prepare your inventory

• Take the elevator to another section

You Can Skip Entire Sections

One of the most important mechanics in the Archives is the ability to skip sections using Gold.

The first section skip costs 100 Gold, with the price increasing as you continue skipping sections. Because of this, collecting Gold whenever you safely can is extremely valuable.

Rather than spending time clearing every room, you can build up enough Gold and bypass sections that you don’t want to deal with.

Each section can also have its own special condition. For example, a Ventilation Error section causes many rooms to become dark, making navigation and entity encounters more difficult.

Exit Doors

Starting after Section C, you’ll find an Exit Door at the end of sections.

Using an Exit Door allows you to leave the Archives and return to the Hotel. This means you don’t have to commit to completing the entire 1,300-door route.

If you’ve collected enough loot or simply want to end your run, look for the Exit Door rather than continuing farther than necessary.

The Best Section: Pizza Party

If you get the opportunity to enter the Pizza Party section, I highly recommend taking it.

Pizza Party is especially useful because you can collect Pizza, which is one of the best healing resources available in the Archives. Pizza can be carried in your normal inventory and saved for later sections.

There are plenty of Drones in this section, but they can generally be avoided if you’re careful about where you move.

The extra Pizza makes Pizza Party one of the most valuable sections to visit, particularly if you’re preparing for the harder areas later in your run.

How to Heal in the Doors Archives

Staying healthy is extremely important in the Archives because several entities can deal damage unexpectedly. Fortunately, there are multiple ways to recover HP.

Bandages

Bandages can be found in drawers and around rooms.

They don’t restore a huge amount of health, but they’re useful for recovering from smaller hits. Don’t ignore them simply because the healing amount is low—small amounts of healing can make the difference between surviving and dying later.

Pizza

Pizza is one of the best healing items you can find.

You can carry multiple Pizzas as long as you have enough inventory space, with the normal inventory allowing up to six items.

It’s a good idea to pick up Pizza even when you’re already at full health. The Archives can drain your HP very quickly, so having emergency healing available is much safer than trying to find food after you’ve already taken heavy damage.

Water Coolers

Water Coolers provide another way to restore health, but they’re more complicated because drinking the wrong combination can actually hurt you.

First, pick up the cup next to the Water Cooler. You then need to fill the cup twice.

To obtain healing water, use:

• Red tap on the far left

• Blue tap on the far right

Be careful with the combinations you use, because incorrect water can damage you instead of healing you.

The cup also occupies an extra inventory slot, so once you’ve picked it up, you can’t simply drop it and grab another one if you make a mistake.

If you accidentally create harmful water, you’ll have to drink it and take the damage before you can heal yourself again.

All Archives Entities and How to Survive Them

The Archives introduce several unique entities and hazards. Knowing what each one does is essential if you want to make it through the later sections.

Drones

Drones can appear randomly throughout the Archives.

They can disappear and respawn inside rooms, so don’t assume an area is permanently safe just because you cleared it once.

The biggest danger comes from encountering multiple Drones at the same time. Their attacks can quickly remove a large portion of your health.

Drone Stampede

Drones can also trigger a Stampede.

When the clock reaches 9 or 5, the Drones begin rushing through the rooms in a stampede. Getting caught in their path can damage you and may cause you to lose items that are lying on the floor.

To avoid a Stampede:

• Move into a room that isn’t along the Stampede’s route.

• Hide inside a closet.

• Move behind a cubicle or other obstacle away from the main path.

Don’t stand in the doorway waiting to see what happens. Get out of the Stampede’s path as quickly as possible.

Bash

Bash is a rushing entity that works somewhat similarly to Rush from the Hotel.

You’ll hear a distinctive crackling whoosh when Bash is approaching.

Unlike an instant-kill attack, Bash damages players with fire when they’re caught in its path. You can survive the encounter if you get out of the way quickly.

The safest options are to:

• Move away from the main path.

• Enter another room.

• Move to an upper area when available.

• Hide inside a closet.

The key is recognizing the sound and getting out of the path before Bash reaches you.

Fih

Fih are harmless creatures that can be found inside fish tanks.

You may find Fish Food, which can be used to feed them. Doing so is associated with the “Fih are Friends” reward.

Once you’ve obtained the reward, Fish Food isn’t particularly useful, so you don’t need to keep collecting it on future runs.

Currents

Currents are electrical hazards that appear in puddles on the floor.

Never blindly walk through a puddle.

If you hear electrical crackling and see sparks above the water, the puddle is electrified and will damage you.

If there’s no sound or visible electricity, the puddle is safe to cross. However, don’t wait around for too long because the electricity can return quickly.

Scribbles

Scribbles is an entity that covers your screen and begins damaging you.

When Scribbles appears, your priority should be finding a closet.

Get into a closet as quickly as possible because Scribbles can’t find you while you’re hiding inside.

Don’t waste time trying to fight or interact with it. Find somewhere to hide.

Teller

Teller can be identified by a long queue line.

When Teller appears, she’ll block your path through the door.

You’ll need to take a ticket from her to continue.

The number displayed on the ticket tells you how many doors you can pass through before you need to return the ticket.

For example, if your ticket says 4, you can pass through four doors. After that, you need to give the ticket back to Teller quickly.

If you fail to return it in time, Teller will attack you.

One useful detail is that Teller can continue moving when doors are opened nearby. Bash can also open doors as it travels through rooms, which can affect Teller’s position.

Alma

Alma appears in later sections and can usually be found crying somewhere in a room.

The most important rule is simple:

Don’t look at Alma.

Looking at her can trigger a minigame.

Based on the current state of the Archive Subfloor, the minigame may not work correctly and can result in your death regardless of what you do. Because of that, the safest strategy is to avoid triggering Alma altogether.

If you see her, look away and move around her without making direct eye contact.

Ransom

Ransom doesn’t primarily attack your health. Instead, it threatens your inventory.

When Ransom appears, it essentially takes control of your screen and begins demanding Gold.

The easiest way to deal with it is to collect the amount of Gold it requests.

Search:

• Drawers

• Closets

• Floors

• Other containers

The Pot of Gold is particularly useful because it can help satisfy Ransom’s demand much faster.

If you don’t pay, you risk losing items from your inventory, so gathering Gold quickly should be your priority whenever Ransom appears.

Forget-Me-Nots

At some point during an Archive run, you may encounter a subway section that starts the Forget-Me-Nots minigame.

This sequence works similarly to the observation-style gameplay found in Exit 8.

First, you’ll need to find all of the flowers and stare at them until they disappear.

Once you’ve dealt with the flowers, pay close attention to the room and memorize what it looks like.

You’ll then enter another room.

Your goal is to determine whether the second room is identical to the previous one.

If Nothing Changed

If the room looks exactly the same, continue forward.

If Something Changed

If you notice an anomaly, turn around and go back.

Changes can be relatively subtle. For example:

• A room’s colors may change.

• A sign may disappear.

• An object may move.

• Something that was present before may no longer be there.

The first room acts as your reference point, so take your time memorizing it before moving forward.

Archive Survival Tips

The Archives are extremely long, so surviving isn’t just about dealing with individual entities. Resource management is just as important.

Save Your Gold

Gold is extremely valuable because it lets you skip sections.

Don’t waste all of it early unless you have a specific reason. Saving enough Gold for later skips can save you from spending a long time in dangerous sections.

Stock Up on Pizza

Whenever you encounter Pizza Party, take advantage of it.

Collect as much Pizza as your inventory allows and save some for later. Having healing available can make difficult sections much more manageable.

Use Safe Areas

The area after every 50 doors gives you a chance to recover and prepare for what’s next.

Don’t immediately rush into the elevator. Take a moment to:

• Heal

• Organize your inventory

• Check your Gold

• Decide whether to skip the next section

Don’t Fight Every Threat

Many Archive entities are easier to avoid than to deal with directly.

If an entity has appeared, focus on positioning and escape rather than trying to interact with it unnecessarily.

Learn the Warning Signs

The Archives reward players who recognize audio and visual cues.

Listen for Bash’s crackling sound, watch for electrical sparks around Currents, and keep an eye out for the signs associated with Teller, Alma, and other entities.

Reacting early is much safer than waiting until an entity is already on top of you.

The Doors Archive Subfloor is a massive endurance challenge, but you don’t actually have to clear all 1,300 doors in one continuous run.

The most important mechanics to remember are the section skips, healing areas, Exit Doors, and Pizza Party section. Save your Gold, stock up on Pizza whenever possible, and don’t take unnecessary risks with the Archives’ unique entities.

For the entities themselves, remember the basic rules: avoid Drone Stampedes, get out of Bash’s path, hide from Scribbles, stay away from electrified puddles, don’t look at Alma, pay Ransom with Gold, follow Teller’s ticket rules, and carefully check rooms during the Forget-Me-Nots sequence.

With good resource management and a little patience, the Archives become much easier to navigate.
