Dungeon Lootr has plenty of different classes to collect, but today we’re focusing on Vergil and evolving him into his Awakened Devil Trigger form.
I wasn’t completely sure what I wanted to make a video about at first. I was trying to get one of the rarest classes, but after doing a few runs with my friend Rez, things worked out pretty well. He helped carry me through some runs, and I ended up getting the Devil Heart, which is one of the items required to evolve Vergil.
I already had Vergil with the 1% Ruin Aspect, so evolving him felt like the perfect thing to work toward.
Before getting into the evolution, here’s what Vergil’s base moveset looks like.
Dungeon Lootr Awakened Vergil Guide – How to Unlock
The NPC responsible for Vergil’s evolution can be found in the area shown in the video.
Once you find the NPC, you’ll need to complete a couple of requirements before you can awaken Vergil.
Step 1: Get 50 Azure Demon Mastery
The first requirement is reaching 50 Mastery on Azure Demon.
The easiest way to work toward this is by playing Endless and repeatedly using the class until you reach the required mastery level.
It does take a bit of grinding, but once you hit 50 Mastery, you can return to the Vergil NPC and continue the evolution quest.
Step 2: Return to the Vergil NPC
After reaching 50 Mastery, head back to the Vergil evolution NPC and interact with him again.
You’ll receive the Motivated title, which means you’ve completed the first part of the evolution requirements.
Step 3: Bring the Devil Heart
The final requirement is the Devil Heart.
Luckily, I had already obtained one from my previous dungeon runs, so I could immediately hand it over to the NPC.
Once you complete this step, you’ll unlock Judgement Edge and evolve Vergil into Awakened Devil Trigger.
Awakened Devil Trigger Moveset
After unlocking Awakened Devil Trigger, it’s time to see what the new moveset can actually do.
The awakened version has some really good damage and mobility, making Vergil feel much more powerful than his base form.
The movement options are especially nice, and the attacks give the class a good combination of mobility and damage.
There is also a new ultimate to try out.
The ultimate is pretty cool, although it doesn’t have a cinematic cutscene. Unfortunately, you can’t properly build the ultimate bar in the showcase area, so you’ll need to enter an actual dungeon run if you want to see the ultimate in action.
How to Get the Storm Title
There is one more thing you can work toward after unlocking Awakened Devil Trigger.
To get the Storm title, you need to reach maximum Mastery on Awakened Devil Trigger.
That means you’ll have to spend some more time using the awakened class and grinding out its mastery.
Once you’ve reached max mastery, you’ll unlock the Storm title along with its associated buffs.
Overall, Awakened Devil Trigger is a really fun upgrade for Vergil.
The evolution requires some grinding, especially getting the 50 Azure Demon Mastery and eventually maxing out Awakened Devil Trigger, but the improved moveset, mobility, and damage make the effort worthwhile.
The basic progression is:
Vergil → 50 Azure Demon Mastery → Motivated Title → Devil Heart → Awakened Devil Trigger → Max Mastery → Storm Title
If you’re already working on Vergil, make sure you save your Devil Heart and start grinding that Azure Demon mastery. Once you have the requirements, the actual evolution is pretty straightforward.
