In this post, I’ll show you how to get Legacy Coins in All Star Tower Defense (ASTD) and which units I recommend picking up from the new Legacy Shop.
The Legacy Shop can be found through the Star Pass, and if you’re wondering how the new Legacy Coins work, there are a few rewards you can get from progressing through the pass.
I’ll also go over the units I think are worth spending your limited Legacy Coins on, because you won’t have a huge amount to spend and you don’t want to waste them on weaker options.
How to Get Legacy Coins & Best Legacy Shop Units in ASTD
The main way mentioned in the video to get Legacy Coins is by progressing through the Star Pass.
Once you open the Star Pass, you’ll find Legacy Coin rewards at specific tiers. In particular, you can get 2 Legacy Coins at Tier 99, followed by another 2 Legacy Coins later in the pass.
This means you can get a total of 4 Legacy Coins from completing the relevant Star Pass rewards.
Free and Premium Star Pass Rewards
Your exact number of Legacy Coins depends on which parts of the Star Pass you complete.
According to the video:
- Free Star Pass: 2 Legacy Coins
- Premium Star Pass: 2 Legacy Coins
- Total: 4 Legacy Coins
So if you’re trying to get as many Legacy Coins as possible, you’ll want to work your way through the Star Pass and reach the required tiers.
How Many Legacy Coins Can You Get?
Legacy Coins are fairly limited, so you should think carefully before spending them.
If you complete the Star Pass, you can get 4 Legacy Coins in total, with two coming from the free track and another two from the premium track.
Because the Legacy Shop units have different costs, this also means you may need to decide between grabbing several cheaper units or saving your coins for the more expensive options.
Personally, I’d avoid spending your coins immediately just because you have enough for one of the cheaper units.
Best Legacy Shop Units
Now for the important part: which units should you buy?
The video recommends several units, with Buid and King being among the best choices.
Buid and King
Buid and King are probably the first units I’d look at when deciding how to spend your Legacy Coins.
If you’re trying to get the most value from your limited coins, these are among the units worth prioritizing.
Since your Legacy Coins aren’t easy to stack up quickly, I’d rather save for a stronger unit than spend them on something that you’ll replace almost immediately.
Zeruto
Zeruto is another strong option from the Legacy Shop.
I would also recommend looking at Zeruto if you already have the other units you’re interested in or simply prefer what this unit offers.
It’s one of the better choices mentioned in the video, so it’s definitely worth considering before spending your coins elsewhere.
Old Will
Old Will is another unit worth picking up.
If you already have Buid and King or Zeruto, Old Will can be a good addition to your collection. I’d put it ahead of some of the lower-cost options if you’re trying to make your Legacy Coins count.
The Found
The Found is also recommended as a good Legacy Shop unit.
So, if you’re deciding what to buy and don’t already have the stronger options mentioned above, this is another unit I’d consider.
Don’t Waste Legacy Coins on Two-Coin Units
One thing I’d recommend is not rushing to buy multiple units that only cost 2 Legacy Coins.
It can be tempting to grab two cheaper units because you can immediately get them with your available coins. However, the video points out that these options are generally weaker compared with the units that cost 4 Legacy Coins.
If you only have a few Legacy Coins available, I’d personally save them rather than spending them just because you can.
For example, instead of buying two mediocre 2-Coin units, saving those coins toward a stronger 4-Coin unit can give you better value.
Best Way to Spend Your Legacy Coins
If you’re starting with a limited number of Legacy Coins, I’d approach the shop like this:
- Work through the Star Pass to collect your available Legacy Coins.
- Don’t spend them immediately on the first cheap unit you see.
- Prioritize Buid and King.
- Consider Zeruto as another strong option.
- Old Will and The Found are also worth considering.
- Avoid filling your collection with weaker 2-Coin units if you can save for a stronger 4-Coin unit.
The exact best choice will obviously depend on which units you already own, but these are the options I’d focus on first based on the current Legacy Shop.
Getting Legacy Coins in All Star Tower Defense is mainly about progressing through the Star Pass and reaching the tiers that contain the rewards. You can get 2 Coins from the free track and another 2 from the premium track, giving you 4 Coins in total from the pass.
Since your supply is limited, I’d avoid wasting them on random lower-value units. Buid and King, Zeruto, Old Will, and The Found are the main units I’d look at first, while saving for the 4-Coin options is generally better than immediately buying two weaker 2-Coin units.
So, complete as much of the Star Pass as you can, save those Legacy Coins, and spend them on the units that will give you the most value.
