Choosing the right vehicle in RUNAWAYS can make escaping much easier. Your car determines things like how fast you can travel, how many players you can carry, how well you can handle the road, and how much punishment you can take.
There are several vehicles to choose from, with some costing Credits and others requiring Robux. Because of that, you don’t want to waste your money buying several cars that you’ll replace shortly afterward.
I’ve ranked the main vehicles from the starter option to the expensive late-game choices so you can see which cars are worth saving for and which ones you can skip.

1. Starter Vehicle
The Starter Vehicle is the first car you’ll have access to.
It’s fine for learning the game and getting your first few runs completed, but I wouldn’t invest too much into it. Your main goal should be earning enough Credits to move into a better vehicle.
Once you have enough money, upgrading from the starter car should be one of your first priorities.
2. Chunk Mover
The Chunk Mover costs around 15,000 Credits and gives you more room for passengers.
Its stats are:
- 4 Seats
- 2 Speed
- 3 Axles
- 4 Handling
- No Armor
The four seats make it useful if you’re playing with a group, but its low Speed is a noticeable weakness.
If you mainly play with friends and need the extra seats, the Chunk Mover is a reasonable early purchase. Otherwise, I’d consider saving for the GR8R instead.
3. GR8R
The GR8R is one of the better early-game targets.
Compared with the Chunk Mover, it has stronger Speed, Handling, and Armor, making it a more balanced vehicle for escaping.
The main trade-off is that it doesn’t offer as many seats.
If you’re usually playing solo or with a small group, I’d rather save for the GR8R than spend your Credits on the Chunk Mover first.
4. Mud Runner
The Mud Runner is a Robux vehicle designed for players who want to skip some of the slower Credit progression.
It provides solid stats and gives you access to a better vehicle earlier.
If you’re willing to spend Robux, the Mud Runner can be a convenient shortcut. However, you don’t need it to progress through the game, so free-to-play players can simply continue saving Credits.
5. Charge
The Charge costs around 90,000 Credits or can be obtained with Robux.
Its biggest advantage is its Speed.
While some of its other stats aren’t as impressive as the GR8R, the extra speed can be valuable when you’re trying to travel farther and escape more quickly.
For Credit players, it’s a reasonable step in the progression. For players already spending Robux, I’d compare it against the Mud Runner before buying.
6. C1000
The C1000 is another upgrade in the vehicle progression.
One of its advantages is having more room for passengers, while its Armor and Handling provide a different balance compared with the Charge.
Whether you should buy it depends on how you play.
If you’re mostly concerned with getting from one location to another as quickly as possible, a faster vehicle may be preferable. If you’re regularly carrying several players, the extra seats become more valuable.
7. Renovator
The Renovator is where the vehicle progression starts getting much more expensive.
It costs around 555,000 Credits and has:
- 4 Seats
- 9 Speed
- 8 Axles
- 9 Handling
- Low Armor
Its 9 Speed and 9 Handling are the main reasons to consider it.
The Renovator is extremely fast and handles well, making it a strong option for players who prioritize mobility.
The biggest weakness is its Armor. If you’re constantly taking damage or crashing into obstacles, its low protection can become a problem.
Still, if you have enough Credits, I’d rather save toward the Renovator than repeatedly buy several mid-range vehicles.
8. Filapia Truck
The Filapia Truck is a Robux-only option with a Cybertruck-style design.
It has:
- 4 Seats
- 8 Speed
- Strong Armor
- Solid overall stats
The extra Armor makes it more appealing for players who want a premium vehicle that can survive more punishment.
If you have Robux available and want a strong vehicle without grinding hundreds of thousands of Credits, the Filapia Truck is worth considering.
For free-to-play players, though, there’s no need to chase it.
9. 1 Million Credit Vehicle
The 1,000,000 Credit vehicle is one of the best long-term targets for players who don’t want to spend Robux.
Its stats are:

- 8 Speed
- 9 Axles
- 7 Handling
- 5 Armor
The 5 Armor is particularly important because it gives you better survivability than the Renovator.
It isn’t the fastest vehicle on the list, but it provides a much better balance between speed, handling, and durability.
If you’re a Credit-only player, I’d consider saving toward this vehicle as one of your biggest long-term goals.

You don’t necessarily need the same vehicle as everyone else.
Best Early Vehicle
GR8R
The GR8R is the vehicle I’d recommend targeting early if you’re playing alone or with a small group. Its overall stats make it a better investment than the Chunk Mover for many players.
Best Budget Group Vehicle
Chunk Mover
If you regularly play with several friends, the four seats can make the Chunk Mover useful despite its lower Speed.
Best Robux Option
Filapia Truck
If you’re willing to spend Robux, the Filapia Truck offers a strong combination of Speed, seats, and Armor.

Renovator
With 9 Speed and 9 Handling, the Renovator is the obvious choice if your priority is moving quickly and controlling your vehicle.
Best Long-Term Credit Vehicle
1 Million Credit Vehicle
The 1M Credit vehicle is a great target for players who want strong overall performance without spending Robux. Its Armor also makes it more forgiving during difficult runs.
Should You Buy a Car or Class First?
You don’t have to completely choose between vehicles and classes.
I’d recommend progressing both, but getting a decent vehicle should be a priority because gas capacity is important in RUNAWAYS.
The farther you travel, the more important your fuel management becomes. Having a vehicle with better capacity can let you travel farther between pit stops and reduce how often you need to spend money on fuel.
A simple early setup is to pick up a useful class such as Scout for around 15,000 Credits, then work toward a better vehicle.
For example, you can start with Scout and then save toward a vehicle costing around 48,000 Credits. This gives you a functional class while you’re working toward a better car instead of putting all of your Credits into only one progression system.
You don’t need to own every vehicle in RUNAWAYS to make good progress. In fact, I’d avoid spending Credits on every small upgrade if you already know which vehicle you want to use later.
For most beginners, the GR8R is a good early target. The Chunk Mover makes more sense if you need the extra seats, while the Mud Runner and Filapia Truck are alternatives for players willing to spend Robux.
Further into the game, the Renovator is a great choice if you care about Speed and Handling, while the 1,000,000 Credit vehicle is the better long-term goal if you want stronger overall survivability.
Most importantly, don’t ignore your class and fuel situation. A strong vehicle is much more useful when it’s paired with a class that fits your playstyle and enough fuel to actually make it through your run.
