The Bloomspire Rod is one of the hidden rods introduced in the Lost Jungle update of Fisch. What makes it unique is that it starts with very weak stats but can be secretly upgraded into a powerful rod using a special item found in the Living Garden.
Many players miss this rod entirely because the game does not clearly explain how to obtain or upgrade it.
Step 1 – Reach the Living Garden
Before anything else, you must unlock the Living Garden area.
To reach it:
- Go through the Toxic Grove cave using a Gas Mask.
- Catch a Venom Maw during a Toxic Boil event.
- Give the fish to Olivia to receive the Toxic-Proof Raft.
- Use the raft to cross the toxic water.
After crossing, you will arrive at the Living Garden biome, where the Bloomspire Rod can be unlocked.
Step 2 – Spawn and Catch the Flower Guardian
The Bloomspire Rod requires you to first catch a Flower Guardian.
The Flower Guardian spawns when players interact with flowers repeatedly.
Ways to spawn it faster:
- Open many flowers in the garden
- Fish during night time
- Use rods with high disturbance
Many players use rods like Boom Ball with disturbance enchants such as Ferocious or Vicious to increase spawn chances.
Once the Flower Guardian appears, catch it normally like any other fish.
Step 3 – Plant Seeds in the Garden
Next, you must interact with the garden planting area.
Throughout the Living Garden you can open flowers that drop seeds such as:
- Living Seed
- Cyan Seed
- Canary Seed
- Violet Seed
These seeds can be planted in the garden plots, which produce special plant items used for crafting or unlocking certain rods.
Step 4 – Summon the Bloomspire Rod
After catching a Flower Guardian, go to the planting area in the Living Garden.
If you hold the Flower Guardian item while standing near the planted seeds, the Bloomspire Rod will appear as a purchasable rod.
Cost:
1.25 million currency
At this point, the rod will appear with extremely weak stats.
This is intentional, because the rod is meant to be upgraded.
Step 5 – Upgrade the Bloomspire Rod (Secret Mechanic)
The real power of the rod comes from its hidden upgrade system.
To upgrade it, you need an item called a Living Lotus.
Living Lotuses can be obtained by opening flowers in the Living Garden. They drop randomly but have fairly decent chances compared to other rare items.
Once you have a Living Lotus:
- Equip the Bloomspire Rod.
- Use the Living Lotus on the rod.
- A green gear icon will appear.
- Click the gear to upgrade the rod.
This permanently improves the rod’s stats.
Bloomspire Rod Upgraded Stats
After upgrading, the rod becomes much stronger.
Upgraded stats:
- Lure Speed: 95%
- Luck: 200%
- Control: 0.2
- Resilience: 20%
- Max Weight: 1,000,000 KG
This is a massive improvement from the rod’s original weak stats.
Bloomspire Rod Passive Ability
The rod has a multi-slash fishing effect, similar to piercing mechanics.
When fishing with it:
- Slashes appear during catches
- Catch progress becomes faster
- Fish can be pulled in more efficiently
The rod also appears to give a strong mutation multiplier, meaning mutated fish sell for significantly higher value.
Some players have noticed mutation values reaching around 7× higher than normal fish values.
Best Ways to Farm Seeds and Lotuses
To get the Living Lotus quickly, you will need to open many flowers.
Two effective farming methods:
Server Rejoin Method
- Leave the server and rejoin.
- All flowers reset to closed.
- Open them again for more seeds.
Bloom Totem Method
- Use Bloom Totems to instantly reopen all flowers.
- These totems can be obtained from NPC quests in the garden.
Both methods allow players to collect seeds and lotuses much faster.
The Bloomspire Rod is one of the most interesting rods added in the Lost Jungle update because of its hidden upgrade mechanic. Many players assume the rod is weak when they first see its base stats, but once upgraded with a Living Lotus, it becomes a solid mid-to-high tier rod.
