Fisch Everturn Forest Update Guide – Full Walkthrough, Rods, Quests & Secrets

If you’ve just stepped into the Everturn Forest update in Fisch and feel a bit lost — don’t worry, that’s completely normal. This island is not like the others. It changes with time, seasons, and even tries to attack you while you’re just trying to fish in peace.

I’ve gone through everything step-by-step, and I’ll walk you through it exactly how you should approach it so you don’t waste time or miss anything important.

Where to Find Everturn Forest

Everturn Forest sits right between Moosewood, Castaway Cliff, and Mush Grove. Just sail toward the middle of these and you’ll spot it.

Now here’s the first important thing:
This island behaves differently depending on day/night and seasons.

  • Nighttime = more danger (aggressive Oaklings)
  • Seasons = different fish spawn (important for quests later)

So yeah, it’s not just a “go there and fish” kind of place.

First Thing You Should Do (Important)

As soon as you land, you’ll see two NPCs:

  • Thallor Virewood
  • Brindle Oakshade

Talk to BOTH of them immediately.

Why?

  • Thallor gives your main progression quest
  • Brindle gives a side quest (Oakling – very rare catch)

Even if you can’t complete Brindle’s quest immediately, keep it active. If you randomly catch the Oakling later, you’ll thank yourself.

Quest 1 – Catch 5 Unique Everturn Fish

This is straightforward.

Just fish around the island until you catch 5 different species.

No tricks here — just patience.

Quest 2 – Get 5 Perfect Catches at Night

Now things get slightly annoying.

You need to:

  • Fish at night
  • Get perfect catches
  • While being attacked by Oaklings

Tip (this saves frustration):

If you have a strong rod (like Plague Reaver), this becomes much easier. Otherwise, just focus and don’t panic when enemies show up.

Reward – Everturn Cloak (Super Important)

After completing the perfect catch quest, you get the Everturn Cloak.

This item is HUGE.

  • Oaklings will mostly ignore you now
  • Fishing becomes way safer
  • You can actually focus instead of getting interrupted

Honestly, this is what makes the island playable.

The Confusing Quest (Sturgeon Part Explained Properly)

Next quest asks for:

  • Rotting Glacial Sturgeon
  • OR Flora / Solar / Umbra variants

Here’s where most people mess up:

You DO NOT need all of them.
You only need ONE.

How to Get the Required Sturgeon

Before fishing, you need a new rod.

Split Branch Twig Rod

  • Cost: 25,000
  • Found near the dock area (on the ground near a tree)
  • Only appears after reaching this quest

What Makes This Rod Special?

It gives you two fish options when catching, and you can choose one.

Also:

  • It applies the Rotting mutation
  • This is REQUIRED for the quest

Important Mechanic – Seasons Matter

Each sturgeon only appears in a specific season.

Example:

  • Winter → Glacial Sturgeon

So:

  • Check current season
  • Target the correct fish

Catching the Sturgeon (Key Tips)

  • Use correct bait (don’t ignore this like the guy in the video did)
  • When the rod gives you options → choose the rotting sturgeon
  • Don’t rush the catch

Once caught:

  • Return it to Thallor
  • Quest complete

Reward – Spirit of the Forest Rod

Now this is where things get really interesting.

This rod is completely different from anything else in Fisch.

Spirit Rod Explained (Simple Breakdown)

Stats:

  • Lower base stats
  • BUT scales over time

The Real Feature: Seasonal Spirits

There are 5 spirits:

  • Autumn → Control boost
  • Spring → Lure speed
  • Night → Progress speed
  • Winter → Resilience
  • Summer → Luck

How Leveling Works

Every time you fish:

  • 5% chance to level up a spirit
  • Only levels the current season’s spirit

Example:

  • Winter → boosts resilience
  • Summer → boosts luck

Why This Rod Is Actually Strong

At first, it feels weak.

But once upgraded:

  • Multiple buffs stack together
  • You gain strong passive bonuses
  • Visual effects show progress (spirits floating around you)

Endgame potential? Very solid.

Secret Reward – Oakling Companion

If you complete Brindle’s quest (catch Oakling):

You get:

  • A shoulder pet lantern

It’s cosmetic, but honestly pretty cool.

Free Code (Don’t Miss This)

Use this code:

  • everturn forest

Reward:

  • Driftwood rod skin

Hidden Secret Code (Bunker Puzzle)

Go to Birch Cay → Enter the bunker → Talk to Pepper

Eventually, you’ll get a weird “bunny” clue.

Solve it → Enter code:

  • “Wow you figured it out”

Reward:

  • Dragon Slayer rod skin

This update is actually one of the more creative ones in Fisch.

At first, it feels annoying:

  • Enemies interrupting you
  • Confusing quest wording
  • Seasonal mechanics

But once you understand it, it becomes pretty satisfying.

The Spirit Rod especially feels like something you grow into rather than just buy and forget.
