Fisch Harpoon Guns Guide – Locations, Craft Relic Piercer

Harpoon Guns have added another piece of gear to hunt down in Fisch, with several options scattered across different islands and late-game areas. Some are straightforward purchases, while the Relic Piercer stands out because you actually have to craft it using some fairly annoying materials.

There are seven Harpoon Guns to track down, and their prices climb quickly as you move through the list. Each also has its own traits or mechanics, so they’re not simply more expensive versions of the same weapon.

If you’re trying to collect every Harpoon Gun or just want to craft the Relic Piercer, here’s what you need to know.

The seven Harpoon Guns covered in the update include weapons found around Roslit, Mushgrove Swamp, Northern Expedition, Cursed Isle, Crystal Cove, Atlantis, and Ancient Isle.

Most can simply be purchased once you find their location. Relic Piercer is the exception, requiring a crafting recipe.

Here’s where to look for each one.

The Steady Harpoon Gun is one of the easiest options to obtain and makes a good introduction to the Harpoon system.

Travel to Roslit and look around the area near the Steady Rod location. You’ll find the Steady Harpoon Gun available for purchase there.

Once purchased, equip it from your inventory to start using the new Harpoon mechanics.

Next is the Fungal Harpoon Gun, found at Mushgrove Swamp.

Explore the swamp until you locate the spot where the Fungal Harpoon Gun is sold. Unlike Relic Piercer, there’s no complicated crafting process shown for this one—you can simply purchase it.

The Fungal Harpoon Gun is also more interesting than the basic option because it can provide the Lucky Gold mutation and a Luck-related buff.

That makes it worth considering if you’re looking for more than just a starter Harpoon Gun.

The Frost Biter is found around the Boreal Pines/Northern Expedition area.

Because Northern Expedition is quite large, this one can be slightly more annoying to locate. Search around the structures and houses in the Boreal Pines area.

The Frost Biter costs:

One useful characteristic demonstrated with this Harpoon Gun is that its targets can remain still, potentially making the Harpoon sequence easier to handle.

The Great Dream Waker is found on Cursed Isle.

This is where Harpoon Gun prices start becoming much more serious.

The Great Dream Waker costs:

Cursed Isle itself is associated with specific conditions, including foggy nighttime during Autumn or Spring.

The Great Dream Waker also interacts with a Curse-style mechanic, giving it a noticeably different feel from the simpler early Harpoon Guns.

Once purchased, it’ll appear alongside your other Harpoon Guns and can be equipped normally.

Another Harpoon Gun is listed as being found within Poseidon’s Armory, pointing you toward the Atlantis area.

If you’re following only this information, head into Atlantis and search Poseidon’s Armory. Don’t confuse this with the other Harpoon locations—the description specifically points toward the Armory.

Rather than buying the Relic Piercer, you need to craft it at Ancient Isle.

The crafting recipe requires:

• 3 Moonstones

• 2 Scrap Metal

• 1 Meg Spine with the Marrow mutation

The Moonstones and Scrap Metal are straightforward if you’ve already been collecting materials.

The real challenge is getting the Marrow Meg Spine.

You’ll need to catch a Meg Spine while giving it the Marrow mutation.

For this, you’ll want to use the Marrow Rod.

Equip your Marrow Rod and start fishing for the Meg Spine. Since you’re hunting a specific rare catch with a specific mutation, Luck boosts can save you quite a bit of time.

The showcased setup used a Tier 3 Luck Potion and improved the Marrow Rod with an Immortal enchantment before starting the grind.

The player eventually caught the required:

The displayed chance during that catch was around 2%, so this can potentially take some time depending on your luck.

The Meg Spine needed for the recipe can be caught around Ancient Isle.

If you’re specifically grinding for Relic Piercer, there’s little reason to leave the area once you have the other crafting materials.

Bring your Marrow Rod, activate whatever strong Luck bonuses you have available, and continue fishing until you obtain a Meg Spine carrying the Marrow mutation.

Once you see Meg Spine [Marrow], you’re ready to craft.

Return to the Ancient Isle crafting station after collecting everything.

Double-check that you have:

3 Moonstones 2 Scrap Metal 1 Marrow Meg Spine

Select the Relic Piercer recipe and craft it.

You’ll receive the confirmation:

“You crafted the Relic Piercer.”

The Relic Piercer should then appear in your inventory and can be equipped like your other Harpoon Guns.

Despite its name, the Relic Piercer doesn’t appear to simply hand you Enchant Relics when you successfully use it.

Instead, one of its notable effects is connected to the Relic mutation.

Its Harpoon sequence also includes a Pull mechanic, requiring you to react during the encounter rather than just firing the Harpoon and immediately completing the catch.

So don’t craft it expecting a straightforward Relic farming machine purely because “Relic” is in the name.

If you’re completely new to Harpoon Guns, start with the Steady Harpoon Gun. It’s much easier to obtain and gives you an opportunity to understand how Harpoon gameplay works before committing millions of currency or rare crafting materials.

From there, you can gradually collect the purchased Harpoon Guns as you visit their respective areas.

The Relic Piercer is better treated as a collection or progression goal. Its crafting requirements make it considerably more involved than simply walking up to a vendor, especially because you need the correctly mutated Meg Spine.

If Relic Piercer is your only goal, however, you can skip most of the other Harpoon Guns. Gather three Moonstones and two Scrap Metal, take your Marrow Rod to Ancient Isle, stack as much Luck as you reasonably can, and keep fishing until that Marrow Meg Spine finally drops.
