The latest Jujutsu Kaisen update in Reign Piece dropped some really interesting content. If you’re a fan of the series, you’ll immediately recognize the characters added in this update. The devs brought Yuji, Finger Bearer, and Heian Sukuna (King of Curses) into the game, and honestly the grind to get them feels pretty satisfying.
When I first checked the update, the animations were the first thing I noticed. They’re definitely smoother than older specs, and moves like Black Flash look surprisingly clean.
Anyway, let’s go step-by-step so you know exactly how to unlock everything without wasting time.
How to Get Yuji (Yuji Itadori Spec)
Yuji is the easiest spec to obtain in this update, which makes sense because he’s basically the starting point of the Jujutsu side of the content.
To begin the process, head over to Jujutsu High. That’s where the NPC related to Yuji is located.
But before you can unlock him, you need to gather the following materials:
- 20 Cursed Energy
- 10 Cursed Corpses
- 5 Black Flash Fragments
All of these items drop from the Yuji Boss.
Now here’s the part that sometimes confuses people:
You can’t just spawn the Yuji boss whenever you want.
First, you need Cursed Energy, which drops from the Strong Sorcerer mobs around the area. Once you collect enough cursed energy, you’ll be able to spawn the Yuji boss and start farming the materials.
The moveset itself is pretty fun. Yuji uses abilities inspired by the anime like Divergent Fist and Black Flash, and for an Epic tier spec it actually feels really smooth in combat.
If you like fast melee combat with strong burst hits, Yuji is honestly worth grabbing.
How to Get Finger Bearer
The next spec introduced in this update is Finger Bearer. This one requires a bit more grinding compared to Yuji.
To unlock Finger Bearer, you’ll need the following items:
- 30 Cursed Flesh
- 15 Deformed Eyes
- 10 Cursed Sacks
- 5 Cursed Core
- Cursed Spirit Trait
Most of these materials come from the Malevolent Raid, which is one of the new activities added in this update.
There’s also an extra requirement: you must have the Cursed Spirit Trait. This trait also drops from the raid, so expect to run it multiple times before completing everything.
The moveset for Finger Bearer is pretty simple compared to the others. It focuses more on raw cursed energy attacks and heavy hits rather than flashy combos.
Personally, it’s decent, but compared to Yuji or Sukuna it feels a little basic. Still useful though, especially if you’re progressing through the JJK content path.
How to Get Heian Sukuna (King of Curses)
Now we get to the main highlight of the update.
Heian Sukuna is easily the most powerful and complex spec added here. It also has the largest moveset out of the three.
To obtain it, you’ll need several rare materials:
- 35 Malevolent Essences
- 15 Dismantle Shards
- 5 Finger Boxes
- Hannya Scripture
- King’s Vessel Race
Most of these items drop from the Malevolent Raid, so expect this to be the longest grind of the update.
But there’s another important requirement: the King’s Vessel race.
Here’s how that works.
First you need to roll the Vessel Race using race tokens. Once you have that race, you must complete the Vessel Questline. Finishing the questline upgrades your race into the King’s Vessel Race, which is required to unlock Sukuna.
Another thing to keep an eye on is Cursed Fingers. These spawn randomly around the map, and they’re important for certain parts of the progression system.
Once everything is gathered, you can finally obtain Heian Sukuna, which comes with a very large moveset and impressive cutscenes. The devs clearly put extra effort into this one.
Malevolent Raid Guide
Since most of the materials come from here, understanding the Malevolent Raid is important.
To enter the raid, you need a Cursed Key.
This key is crafted using Cursed Key Fragments, which drop from two bosses:
- Sukuna Boss
- Yuji Boss
Once you collect enough fragments, go to Shibuya Crossing where you can craft the key.
The raid has three difficulty levels, and the rewards improve with each difficulty. Higher difficulty means better drop chances for things like Malevolent Essence and other rare materials.
If you’re planning to farm Sukuna materials efficiently, running the harder raid difficulties with a good group is definitely the way to go.
New Stat Rolling System
Another feature added in this update is the Stat System.
To use it, talk to the Yuki NPC.
This NPC allows you to roll stats, which basically modifies your character’s performance and build. Depending on what you roll, you can improve different aspects of your character.
If you’re chasing an optimized build for Sukuna or other specs, you’ll probably spend a bit of time rerolling stats here.
Overall, this update feels like a solid addition to Reign Piece.
Yuji is easy to obtain and fun to play, Finger Bearer is a decent mid-tier spec, and Heian Sukuna clearly stands out as the main prize of the update.
The Malevolent Raid also adds a nice gameplay loop. You’ll probably be running it a lot, but the rewards make the grind feel worthwhile.
And honestly… once you finally unlock Sukuna after farming all those materials, it feels pretty satisfying seeing that huge moveset and improved cutscenes in action.
If you’re grinding this update right now, I’d recommend starting with Yuji, farming raid materials early, and slowly working your way toward Heian Sukuna.
Trust me — the King of Curses is worth it.
