Grand Blue Cursed Fruit Tier List – Best Fruits, How to Get
Published 31 Aug 2026, 7:29 am · 11 min read
If you are playing Grand Blue, you will quickly notice that Cursed Fruits are a big part of your character’s combat power. Each Fruit gives you different abilities, so finding the right one can make fighting enemies and completing quests much easier.
In this guide, I will go through the best Cursed Fruits in Grand Blue, rank them from S Tier to D Tier, and explain what makes each one useful. I will also show you the different ways you can get Fruits, including quests, Fruit Chests, random spawns, and the Fruit Trader.
Since Grand Blue is still in Early Access, some Fruits do not have a huge amount of information available yet, and their abilities or rankings could change later. For now, this tier list is based on their known rarity, available information, drop rates, and how useful they are in combat.

Grand Blue Cursed Fruit Tier List – Best Fruits, How to Get
Here is my current ranking of the known Cursed Fruits in Grand Blue:
• S Tier: Darkness, Flame
• A Tier: Wolf, Strength, Bomb
• B Tier: Drain, Chop, Spike
• C Tier: Cannon

• D Tier: Spin
There is no F Tier here because I do not think any of the current Fruits are completely useless. Even a lower-tier Fruit can be helpful when you are still starting out and do not have access to the stronger options.
Also, keep in mind that this list can change. As more information becomes available and the developers adjust the Fruits, some options could move up or down the rankings.
S Tier Cursed Fruits
S Tier is where I have placed the strongest Cursed Fruits currently available.
These Fruits stand out because of their damage, area coverage, crowd control, or overall usefulness in PvE. If you get one of these, I would definitely consider building around it.

Darkness Fruit — Celestial
Darkness Fruit is currently my top pick in Grand Blue.
It has the highest known rarity, Celestial, and its abilities focus heavily on damage and crowd control. This makes it especially useful when you are fighting multiple enemies at once.
For general PvE content, Darkness has a really good combination of offensive power and control. If you manage to get one, you have a very strong Fruit to build your character around.
The main downside is obviously its rarity. You are not going to find Darkness as easily as the lower-rarity Fruits, so getting one can take some luck and patience.
Flame Fruit — Mythic
Flame Fruit takes the other S Tier spot.
As you would expect, this Fruit is focused around fire-based attacks and provides good area coverage. That makes it useful for clearing groups of enemies, which is exactly what you want when grinding quests and EXP.
Flame is also Mythic, so it is much harder to obtain than common Fruits. However, if you manage to get one, the combat potential makes it well worth keeping.
If you cannot get Darkness, Flame is probably the next Fruit I would want for a general PvE-focused build.
A Tier Cursed Fruits
A Tier Fruits are still very strong. They may not have quite the same overall value as Darkness or Flame, but they can easily carry you through a large portion of the game.

Wolf Fruit — Legendary
Wolf Fruit is a great choice if you prefer aggressive close-range combat.
Its abilities are focused around transformation and melee attacks, allowing you to stay close to enemies and keep putting pressure on them.
If your playstyle is all about getting in your opponent’s face instead of keeping your distance, Wolf can be a really good fit.
It is also Legendary, which makes it harder to obtain, but getting one gives you plenty of potential for a melee-focused build.
Strength Fruit — Rare
Strength Fruit is designed around melee-oriented combat.
If you already enjoy using Fighting Styles and prefer attacking enemies from close range, Strength fits naturally into that type of build.
One of the biggest advantages here is its Rare rarity. Compared with the higher-tier Fruits, Strength should be easier to obtain, making it a practical option for players who want a solid combat Fruit without spending forever hunting for an extremely rare drop.
I would definitely keep Strength if you get one early and do not already have a better Fruit.
Bomb Fruit — Rare
Bomb Fruit focuses on explosive attacks, giving it good potential against groups of enemies.

This makes it useful for normal island quests, grinding, and other situations where several enemies are standing close together.
It does not quite reach the level of Darkness or Flame, but Bomb is still a strong Fruit and its Rare rarity makes it considerably more accessible.
For players who are still progressing through the early and mid-game, Bomb can be a very useful option.
B Tier Cursed Fruits
B Tier Fruits are reliable choices that can still get the job done.
I would not consider these bad Fruits at all. They simply have more noticeable weaknesses when compared with the stronger options above them.
Drain Fruit — Rare
Drain Fruit focuses more on survivability and sustain.
Its abilities can help you recover while fighting, which makes it particularly useful if you are still learning the combat system or regularly find yourself taking a lot of damage.
Instead of relying entirely on huge damage numbers, Drain gives you a more forgiving way to fight.
If you are struggling to survive during quests, I would actually consider keeping Drain rather than immediately replacing it with another Fruit that gives you more damage but less survivability.
Chop Fruit — Epic
Chop Fruit is more focused on movement and mobility.
Extra mobility can be useful in combat and can work nicely with different Fighting Styles. Being able to move around more easily can help you avoid attacks and reposition yourself during fights.
The problem is that raw damage is usually more important when you are grinding enemies for EXP.
Because Chop does not appear to offer the same offensive potential as the higher-ranked Fruits, I have placed it in B Tier.
Spike Fruit — Rare
Spike Fruit is focused more on ranged pressure and controlling space.
This can be useful if you prefer keeping enemies away from you instead of constantly fighting them at close range.
It can work particularly well against enemies that rely on melee attacks. However, its overall damage potential appears to be lower than some of the stronger Fruits, which is why I have placed it in B Tier.
It is still a perfectly usable Fruit, especially if it is one of your first decent options.
C Tier Cursed Fruits
C Tier Fruits are usable, but I would generally replace them once you get access to something stronger.
That does not mean you should throw them away immediately. If you are still in the early game and do not have many options, they can help you progress.
Cannon Fruit — Uncommon
Cannon Fruit provides ranged projectile-based abilities.
This can make early-game combat safer because you do not always have to stand directly next to an enemy to deal damage.
The main advantage of Cannon is its Uncommon rarity. You have a much better chance of obtaining it compared with the rare and high-tier Fruits.
Because of that, Cannon can be a decent starting Fruit. However, once you get access to something stronger, I would probably switch.
D Tier Cursed Fruits
D Tier is the lowest ranking on this list, but it does not mean the Fruit is completely worthless.
These Fruits can still help you if you are new to the game or have not managed to obtain anything better yet.
Spin Fruit — Uncommon
Spin Fruit is mainly focused around mobility and more gimmick-style abilities.
Movement can definitely be useful, especially when you are just starting out, but Spin does not appear to have the same overall combat potential as most of the other Fruits.
Its Uncommon rarity does make it relatively easy to obtain, so it can be useful as a temporary Fruit.
If you get Spin early, use it to help you progress. Once you find a stronger option, though, I would replace it.
How to Get Cursed Fruits in Grand Blue
There are several ways to get Cursed Fruits in Grand Blue.
You can get them through quests, Fruit Chests, the Fruit Trader, random world spawns, and sometimes game codes.
If you are a new player, I recommend starting with the guaranteed or easier methods rather than immediately relying on random Fruit spawns.
Complete Almighty Calvin’s Wizard’s Apprentice Quest
One of the best early-game options is Almighty Calvin’s Wizard’s Apprentice quest in Anchor Town.
This gives you a clear path toward getting a Cursed Fruit instead of simply hoping one randomly appears somewhere in the world.
To complete it:
• Travel to Anchor Town.
• Find the raised stone platforms behind the houses.
• Talk to Almighty Calvin.
• Pick up the Rusty Shovel beneath Calvin’s platform.
• Follow the quest markers to the digging locations.
• Dig up the required objects.
• Return to Almighty Calvin.
• Complete the quest.
• Collect Calvin’s Treasure.
• Open the treasure from your inventory to receive the reward.
I recommend doing this fairly early because getting your first Cursed Fruit can make the rest of your progression much easier.
Buy Fruit Chests
Another way to get Cursed Fruits is through Fruit Chests.
The currently known options include:
• 1x Fruit Chest: 1,200 Money
• 100x Fruit Chest: 98,000 Money
The larger option gives you many more Fruits in a single purchase, so it can be useful if you have already built up a lot of Money.
However, do not assume that spending more Money guarantees a high-tier Fruit. You are still dealing with the game’s rarity and drop system.
If you are just starting out, the smaller chest may be enough. Once you have a strong Money income, you can consider saving for the larger option.
Purchase Fruits From the Fruit Trader
You can also visit the Fruit Trader to look for Cursed Fruits.
This is a useful alternative if you would rather check what is available directly instead of relying completely on Fruit Chests or random spawns.
The selection can depend on the current game state, so I recommend checking the trader whenever you are looking for a particular Fruit.
You might find something that fits your build without needing to spend a large amount of Money opening chests.
Find Random Fruit Spawns
Another method is simply exploring the world and looking for random Fruit spawns.
Fruits can appear around different islands, so you may find one while you are questing, traveling, or exploring.
The big advantage here is that you do not have to spend Money.
The downside is that you have very little control over what you find. If you are specifically hunting for something as rare as Darkness, random spawns can require a lot of patience.
I would treat this as a bonus method rather than your only way of getting Fruits.
Use Grand Blue Codes
Do not forget to check the latest Grand Blue codes either.
Codes can sometimes provide useful rewards such as Fruit Chests, giving you additional opportunities to get a Cursed Fruit without spending your own Money.
Even if a code does not give you a Fruit directly, other free rewards can still help with your overall progression.
So before you start grinding for a new Fruit, it is worth checking whether there are any active codes available.
Be Careful Before Consuming a Cursed Fruit
One thing I would recommend is being careful before you consume a Cursed Fruit.
Fruits provide unique abilities and can become an important part of your build. Based on the available information, there is currently no clearly documented method for simply removing, switching, or rerolling an eaten Fruit.
Because of that, do not consume a valuable Fruit without thinking about whether it actually fits your build.
If you already have a good Fruit, compare the new one first. Look at its abilities, rarity, and how well it works with the way you like to play.
This is especially important when you finally get one of the rarer Fruits.
Which Cursed Fruit Should You Choose?
If you are looking for the best overall PvE Fruit, I would currently go with Darkness.
Flame is right behind it and is another excellent option for players who want strong area damage.
For melee players, Wolf and Strength are more natural choices. If you prefer a safer playstyle and want some sustain, Drain is worth considering.
For newer players, even lower-tier options such as Cannon and Spin can be useful. You should not feel like your account is ruined because you did not get an S Tier Fruit immediately.
Your playstyle matters too. A Fruit that looks weaker on a tier list might still feel better for you if its abilities match the way you like to fight.
Final Thoughts
The best Cursed Fruits in Grand Blue right now are Darkness and Flame, which I have placed in S Tier because of their strong damage and area-focused abilities. Wolf, Strength, and Bomb are also excellent choices, while Drain, Chop, and Spike provide reliable alternatives.
If you are just starting out, do not worry too much about getting the rarest Fruit immediately. Complete Almighty Calvin’s Wizard’s Apprentice quest, check Fruit Chests, visit the Fruit Trader, look for random spawns, and redeem active codes whenever possible.
Most importantly, remember that Grand Blue is still in Early Access. New Fruits can be added, existing abilities can be changed, and drop rates or rarities can be adjusted in future updates. Because of that, I will treat this tier list as a current ranking rather than a permanent one.
For now, if you manage to get Darkness or Flame, you have a very strong starting point for a PvE build. If you do not, do not worry. Keep progressing, save your Money, collect Fruits whenever you can, and eventually you should have more options for building the character you actually want to play.
