How to Become Zagred and Get Word Soul Magic in Clover Origins

The latest update in Roblox Clover Origins adds a new and extremely rare Word Soul Magic, along with the ability to become the powerful devil Zagred. If you want to recreate Zagred and unlock everything connected to him, there are several steps you need to complete.

In this guide, I’ll walk you through the process from getting the Devil Race, spinning for the incredibly rare Word Soul Magic, and leveling its mastery by defeating raid bosses. We’ll then move on to the Devil Race V2 puzzle and the Zagred boss area.

The process isn’t exactly quick, especially when you’re dealing with a magic that has an extremely low spin chance. But if you want to complete the full Zagred setup, I’ll show you everything you need to know and the steps I followed.

The first thing you need is the Devil Race.

The Devil Race is a Legendary race with a 1% chance of being obtained through spins.

I already had a decent number of spins saved up, so I went ahead and started rolling for it.

You can simply keep spinning until the Devil Race appears.

Once you get it, claim the race and enter the game.

After getting the Devil Race, you can start working on your character’s appearance.

Depending on your current character setup, you may need to remove some of your equipped cosmetics or turn off vanity items.

I personally removed the cape and adjusted my character’s appearance so the overall look was closer to Zagred.

The exact appearance is up to you, but the important part here is having the Devil Race before moving on.

Now comes the painful part.

The new Word Soul Magic is an extremely rare Unique magic with a stated chance of around 0.002% in the footage.

Because the chance is so low, you should be prepared to use a lot of spins.

Head to the magic spinning system and select the Word Soul Magic if the game allows you to target it.

Then start rolling.

The system can continue spinning until you obtain the magic you are looking for, but don’t expect it to happen quickly.

I went through a huge number of spins before finally getting it.

At one point, I was expecting it to take hundreds more rolls, and the process was becoming ridiculous.

Eventually, though, the roll finally landed on Word Soul Magic.

Once you get it, make sure you keep it rather than accidentally replacing it.

Considering how rare this magic is, you definitely don’t want to lose it after spending all those spins.

Once you have Word Soul Magic, you can begin working on its mastery.

The first move you unlock is Hellish Spear.

This is one of the first abilities you can use to start building mastery.

After using it, you’ll begin progressing through the mastery levels.

The next ability is Hellish Rocks.

Use the ability against enemies and bosses to continue gaining mastery.

The early mastery levels move fairly quickly, especially when you are actively fighting enemies.

After progressing further, you’ll unlock Hellish Blade Storm.

This is another offensive ability that helps you continue leveling your Word Soul Magic.

At this point, the best thing you can do is start looking for stronger enemies and raid bosses because regular enemies won’t always provide the mastery progression you need.

Raid bosses are an important part of leveling Word Soul Magic.

The update features several bosses that can provide significant mastery gains, including the Elf Leader/Lich-style raid boss and Yuno.

One of the first major bosses you can fight is the Elf Leader.

This boss has multiple stages.

It begins in a smaller form before progressing through additional stages and eventually reaching its final form.

I had to solo the boss because there weren’t other players in my lobby, so the fight took some effort.

The boss can also stun you when you get hit, which makes the fight considerably more annoying when you’re trying to level your mastery.

After defeating the different stages, you can earn a substantial amount of mastery.

However, don’t expect a single raid to instantly take you to Mastery 100.

In my run, defeating the Elf Leader only brought me to around 86 mastery.

That’s still a useful amount, but you’ll need additional farming.

After completing the Elf Leader fight, you can move on to Yuno.

Yuno is generally easier to deal with than the previous raid boss, although he still has multiple phases.

He also transforms partway through the fight, so don’t assume the encounter is over just because you’ve depleted his first health bar.

Keep using your Word Soul Magic abilities and continue attacking until the boss is defeated.

Defeating Yuno helped push my mastery further, eventually getting me close to the final levels.

Once you’re close to Mastery 100, you can use your abilities against NPCs and other enemies to finish off the remaining experience.

At one point, I was sitting around 98 mastery, so I just needed a little more progress.

After a few more attacks, I finally reached:

Mastery 100.

Once you hit 100 mastery, you unlock the next part of the Word Soul Magic move set.

At Mastery 100, you can unlock Vacuum Wall.

Make sure you actually learn and equip the ability when it becomes available.

This is also the point where you can start moving toward the later worlds and the requirements for the Devil Race V2 upgrade.

After progressing into the third world, you can unlock the final Word Soul Magic ability.

The final move is called Hellish Twin Vortex.

This completes the main Word Soul Magic mastery progression and gives you access to the full move set.

But we’re not finished yet.

If you want the upgraded Devil Race, you still need to complete a puzzle.

The next objective is unlocking Devil Race V2.

This requires completing a puzzle involving several hidden buttons or locations spread across the map.

You need to find five of them.

The locations can vary in terms of where you find them, so you’ll need to explore the area carefully.

When you locate one, interact with it.

You’ll know you’ve found one because the puzzle counter will update.

Search around the map for the five buttons.

In my run, I found several of them while flying around the area.

Some are relatively easy to spot, while others can be hidden behind or near buildings.

I had to spend some time searching for the final buttons because they aren’t all immediately obvious.

Once you have found all five, the castle area will unlock.

You can then move on to the next part of the Devil Race V2 puzzle.

After unlocking the castle, you’ll encounter another part of the puzzle involving numbers and colors.

This is important because the solution isn’t simply based on the order in which you discover the numbers.

Each number you find has a specific color.

You need to remember both:

• The number

• Its color

For example, one of the numbers I found was 4, and it was red.

You then need to compare that color against the order shown by the laboratory flags.

Go to the laboratory and look at the colored flags.

The colors determine the order in which you need to arrange the numbers.

For example, if your number 4 is red and red corresponds to the second position in the flag order, then 4 belongs in position two of your code.

You then repeat this process for every number you find.

The numbers you receive will be different from mine, so don’t simply copy my code.

In my run, I eventually ended up with a code of:

But your code will depend on the numbers and colors you discover in your own server.

Once you’ve figured out the correct number order, take the completed code to the NPC responsible for entering it.

Enter your code.

If you’ve arranged everything correctly, the puzzle will complete.

You should then receive the Devil Race V2 upgrade.

The important thing here is to pay attention to the colors rather than simply writing down the numbers in the order you find them.

Devil Race V2 gives you an additional special ability.

On PC, the ability can be activated using the appropriate key shown by the game. In the footage, the key used is T.

When activated, the ability provides continuous damage around you.

This can be useful when fighting stronger enemies and bosses.

It also fits nicely with the overall Devil/Zagred theme.

The final goal is to reach Zagred.

After unlocking the castle and progressing through the puzzle, you can travel to the mansion area where the Zagred boss is located.

This boss has an enormous amount of health.

The fight is intended to be much more difficult than the normal enemies you’ve been fighting while leveling your magic.

When you reach Zagred, prepare yourself for a long fight.

The boss has an enormous health pool, and during the run shown here, the boss appeared to be malfunctioning.

Even after switching servers, Zagred was still behaving strangely and wasn’t taking damage properly.

So, if you encounter the same issue, it may not necessarily be something you’re doing wrong.

The boss could simply be bugged at the moment.

Because of that, the most important part of this process is actually reaching the mansion and unlocking Devil Race V2 successfully.

Once the boss is functioning properly, you’ll be able to fight Zagred as intended.

Zagred is associated with several valuable drops.

The boss can drop things such as:

• Wings

• A Rune

• Treasure

The enormous health pool makes the fight difficult, but the rewards make the encounter worthwhile once the boss is working correctly.

Becoming Zagred in Clover Origins is definitely not a quick process.

The biggest roadblock is obviously the Word Soul Magic, since its listed chance is only around 0.002%. You could get lucky early, but you should be prepared for a very large number of spins.

After that, the mastery grind becomes the next major task. Raid bosses are particularly useful here because they can give you much more progress than simply fighting regular enemies.

The Devil Race V2 puzzle is much more manageable once you understand how the colored numbers work. Just remember that your code will be different from someone else’s, so don’t blindly copy a code from another player.

Finally, you can make your way to Zagred’s mansion and take on the boss. The encounter may currently have some bugs, but once everything is working correctly, defeating Zagred should be the final part of completing this entire setup.

If you’re trying to recreate Zagred in Clover Origins, I’d recommend taking the process one step at a time. The Word Soul Magic alone can take a lot of patience, but once you have the magic, Mastery 100 and Devil Race V2 are much more straightforward goals.
