You can find Bob inside the Murmur area of the mines.

Murmur is one of the darker mining areas you may visit during the earlier stages of progression. You can also naturally end up exploring this location while completing quests, including objectives that require you to defeat monsters inside Murmur.

Because the mines are dark and full of enemies, Bob’s hiding place is easy to walk past. While exploring the caves, you need to look carefully for a small opening or narrow crevice in the rocks.

The opening is large enough for your character to enter. Once you go through it, you will reach a hidden section of the cave where Bob is sitting alone.

Interact with him, and you will immediately notice that something is different. Instead of speaking normally, Bob sends messages entirely in binary.

Bob communicates using groups of 0s and 1s, which are binary numbers.
