If you want to play Drone Defense 2 faster, getting the 2X Match Speed ability can make a big difference. The good news is that there are two ways to get it: you can purchase VIP for the paid option, or you can unlock the ability through the Enhancement Shop without paying.

In this guide, I’ll show you both methods and, more importantly, how to find the free-to-play option using the Eldritch Key.

The easiest way to get 2X Match Speed is through the VIP game pass.

Open the Store in Drone Defense 2 and look for VIP. One of the benefits of VIP is 2X Match Speed, so purchasing VIP gives you access to the faster match speed without having to unlock it through the in-game progression.

This is the paid method, so if you’re trying to remain completely free-to-play, you can skip this option and use the Enhancement Shop method instead.

If you don’t want to spend Robux, you can unlock 2X Match Speed through the Enhancement Shop.

There are a few steps involved, and you’ll need the Eldritch Key to access the area where the shop is located.

First, make your way to the Supply Bunker.

Once you’re there, look for the entrance that leads further inside the bunker. You’ll need to open the doors along the route to reach the hidden shop area.

The important thing here is that one of the doors requires the Eldritch Key.

When you reach the locked door, you’ll need to have the Eldritch Key in order to open it.

Use the key to unlock the door and continue inside.

After you’ve opened the door, keep moving through the area until you find the shop with the NPC inside.

Once you’re inside the hidden area, look for the NPC located in the shop.

Talk to the NPC and you’ll be able to access the Enhancement Shop.

This shop is where you’ll find the 2X Match Speed enhancement.

Inside the Enhancement Shop, look through the available enhancements until you find 2X Match Speed.

Select the ability and unlock it.

This is the free-to-play method mentioned in the guide, so you don’t need to purchase VIP simply to get the faster match speed.
