How to Get Removal in Ryujin and Increase Your Percentage

If you’re trying to unlock and fully level up Removal in Ryujin, there are a few requirements you need to meet before you can even learn it. After unlocking it, the real grind begins because your starting Removal percentage is random and increasing it takes a lot of time.

In this guide, I’ll explain how to unlock Removal, what each percentage milestone does, the rank requirements you need, and the best known way to increase your Removal percentage.

Before you can learn Removal, you need to meet the basic requirements.

You need:

• 5,200 Strength

• 3,475 Stamina

• 1,000,000 Yen

• The required Kure clan/lineage condition

Once you have these requirements, you’re ready to find the teacher.

The easiest way to locate the teacher is through the NPC menu.

Open your NPCs menu and search for Kure.

The Kure teacher is located in the Forest area, fairly far away from the main areas.

Once you reach him, talk to the NPC and choose the option to learn the skills of your clan.

Scroll through the available skills until you find Removal.

Select Removal and, assuming you meet the requirements, you’ll be able to learn it.

This is one of the most important things to understand about Removal.

When you first unlock it, you don’t automatically start at 100%.

Instead, your Removal percentage is randomly determined between 0% and 50%.

This means two players can unlock Removal at completely different starting percentages.

You could get a very low starting percentage, while another player could immediately get something much closer to 50%.

For example, the creator started at around 7%, while they had seen other players start around 45%.

So don’t be surprised if your first percentage is much lower than someone else’s.

Removal provides a temporary boost when activated.

At its base, Removal:

• Increases Damage by 10%

• Increases Health by 10%

• Lasts 30 seconds

• Consumes 20% more Stamina

The interesting part is that these bonuses improve as your Removal percentage increases.

The higher your Removal mastery, the stronger the Damage and Health bonuses become.

From 0% to 50% Removal, each additional percentage increases your bonuses by:

• 0.15% Damage

• 0.04% Health

At 50% Removal, you reach:

• 17.5% Damage

• 12% Health

So even though you start with the basic Removal bonuses, improving your percentage makes the ability noticeably stronger.

The scaling changes after 50%.

From 51% to 80%, each additional percentage increases:

• Health by 0.08%

At 80% Removal, your bonuses reach:

Unfortunately, there isn’t a quick shortcut for increasing Removal.

The main known method is fighting Ryan Currier.

Ryan Currier is associated with the Kure clan and can provide Removal percentage progress when defeated.

When he spawns, you’ll receive a notification at the top of your screen indicating that the Black Sheep of the Currier Clan is hunting.

That’s your signal that Ryan Currier has appeared.

When Ryan Currier spawns, head to his location in the relevant area and fight him.

After defeating him, you have a chance of receiving Removal percentage.

The amount you receive isn’t fixed.

Sometimes you’ll get a relatively small increase, while other drops can provide a larger chunk of percentage.

This makes the grind heavily dependent on RNG.

One of the frustrating parts about maxing Removal is how small some of the increases can be.

The creator mentioned getting around 0.18% from one of their better increases.

That might sound tiny, and honestly, it is.

When you’re trying to go all the way to 100%, gains like that add up very slowly.

This means you should expect to fight Ryan Currier many, many times if you want to completely max your Removal.

If you’re hoping for a secret method that instantly takes your Removal percentage from something like 10% to 100%, there doesn’t appear to be one.

The main process is:

Unlock Removal → Meet the rank requirements → Find Ryan Currier → Defeat him → Get percentage → Repeat

You simply keep repeating the process until you’ve accumulated enough percentage to reach the next milestone.

The starting percentage makes a big difference here.

Someone who starts at 45% has a huge advantage over someone who starts at 5-10%, simply because they have far less grinding ahead of them.

There has been discussion about whether Removal percentage can also be purchased through the Raid Shop.

However, this wasn’t confirmed in the information provided.

So I wouldn’t rely on the Raid Shop as a guaranteed way to increase your Removal percentage.

For now, the reliable method discussed here is defeating Ryan Currier and obtaining the percentage from his drops.

Even if you’re willing to grind Ryan Currier over and over, you can’t simply reach 100% immediately.

You need to progress through the rank requirements along the way.

For the final 100% milestone, you’ll need ZZ+.

So if you’re currently a much lower rank, you have two grinds happening at the same time:

Rank progression and Removal percentage progression.

It’s worth working on both rather than focusing entirely on Removal.

If you’re starting from scratch, I’d approach it like this.

First, get your basic requirements ready:

Then find the Kure teacher through the NPC menu and learn Removal.

Once you’ve unlocked it, check your starting percentage.

If you get a high roll, you’ll have less grinding to do.

If you get something like 5-10%, don’t worry. You can still work your way upward.

After unlocking Removal, focus on progressing your rank while also taking advantage of Ryan Currier spawns.

Whenever Ryan Currier appears, go fight him and collect the percentage increase.

Continue doing this while working toward the rank requirements for each milestone.

Removal isn’t completely free to use.

It consumes 20% more Stamina than usual while active.

That means you need to consider your Stamina management when using it.

The ability can provide a significant Damage and Health boost, but if you’re already struggling with Stamina, activating it constantly can make your training or combat less efficient.

This is especially important during longer fights.

If you’re serious about maximizing your character, yes, 100% Removal is the end goal.

At 100%, you get:

• Highest Removal activation effects

Compared with the basic 10% Damage and 10% Health, the difference is substantial.

The problem is getting there.

The combination of random starting percentages, tiny percentage gains from Ryan Currier, and increasing rank requirements makes 100% Removal a long-term grind.

Removal is one of those Ryujin abilities that looks simple when you first unlock it, but the real progression comes afterward.

You first need 5,200 Strength, 3,475 Stamina, and 1 million Yen, then you can find the Kure teacher in the Forest and learn the ability.

Your initial Removal percentage is random, so you could start anywhere from 0% to 50%.

From there, you’ll need to grind Ryan Currier for percentage increases while simultaneously progressing through the required ranks.

The grind is definitely long, especially if you start with a low percentage, but the payoff is worth it if you’re aiming for the strongest version of Removal. At 100%, you get 30% more Damage, 17.5% more Health, and a 50-second duration, making it considerably stronger than the base version.

The biggest tip I can give you is to keep working on your rank while farming Ryan Currier. That way, you’re making progress toward both requirements instead of reaching a percentage milestone and then having to stop because your rank isn’t high enough.
