How to Get the Breeze Caster Rod in Fisch

In this post, I will show you how to get the Breeze Caster Rod in Fisch. This rod is obtained through the Skycrest questline, and I am not going to lie, getting it can take a very long time.

The process involves completing several quests connected to the Swiftness Charm and progressing through the required Ancient Idol or Trial questline. Some of the objectives are easy enough, while others require a lot of fishing and grinding.

The biggest requirement is eventually getting your Swiftness Charm all the way to level 10. Before you can even do that, though, you need to complete the quests that increase the charm’s level cap.

So, if you are planning to get the Breeze Caster, be prepared for a fairly long grind. Here is the full process and everything I had to do to unlock the rod.

Before working toward the Breeze Caster, you will need to progress through the previous quests in the chain.

One of the earlier requirements involves traveling 1,000 studs using the Cloud Glider. This quest is fairly easy, and completing it also gives you access to the Cloud Glider.

After finishing that part, the next major objective is connected to the Swiftness Charm.

You need to eventually reach level 10 with the charm. However, charms normally have a level 5 cap, so you cannot simply keep leveling it immediately.

To increase that cap, you first need to complete the full questline connected to the Trial or Ancient Idol.

One of the required quests asks you to perfect catch Sailfish during windy weather in the Tropical area.

The important part here is that the weather needs to be windy, and you need to get Perfect Catches.

Because the quest specifically requires perfect catches, you cannot simply rely on a Glitch Potion to bypass that requirement.

Sailfish can be found in the ocean, so I basically had to move around and keep looking until they started appearing.

Keep catching them with perfect catches until you complete the required amount. Once that objective is finished, you can move forward with the Swiftness Charm Idol questline.

The next objective requires you to catch and return 10 Gusty or Breeze African Butterflyfish during a Tropical Squall.

This part can be a little more specific because African Butterflyfish are connected to Skycrest, rainy conditions, and insects as their preferred bait.

For this objective, I used an Elemental Rod with the Wind effect and used insects as bait.

The main thing is to keep fishing under the required Tropical Squall conditions until you complete all 10 catches.

For me, this part took around an hour of nonstop fishing, so do not expect every requirement in this questline to be completed instantly.

After finishing the fishing requirement, the next quest is much easier.

You need to maintain the maximum velocity of any Hang Glider for 30 seconds during a Tropical Squall.

To do this, get your Hang Glider and jump from an appropriate high location. Keep gliding at maximum speed for as long as possible.

You may need to repeat the process by going back up and gliding again until the full 30 seconds are completed.

Compared to the long fishing objectives, this one is much simpler and quicker to finish.

The next important requirement is to Perfect Catch a Wyvern in under 20 seconds during a Tropical Squall.

Completing this objective is important because it gives you the level cap increase you need before continuing toward Swiftness Charm level 10.

For the Wyvern, you need to head all the way above the clouds and wait for one to spawn.

The timing can be annoying because you need the required weather conditions. The Wyvern is also affected by time preferences, with nighttime being preferable in this case.

Once the Wyvern spawned, I used Astrum with Piercing and Peppermint.

The Wyvern can prefer Truffle Worm and Starlight Worm, so having the right setup ready can help you catch it faster.

The important part is getting the Perfect Catch within 20 seconds. Once you complete it successfully, you are finished with this requirement.

After completing the Wyvern quest, your charm can finally be ascended and leveled beyond the previous cap.

Now you can work toward Swiftness Charm level 10.

This is where the real grind begins.

I used Plague Reaper for this part and spent a huge amount of time AFK grinding to level the charm. You should be prepared because getting from the earlier levels up to level 10 takes a lot of experience.

For me, the grind took around five hours of nonstop AFK fishing in the area while using Arrow Totems.

I ended up using around 10 Arrow Totems just to gain the final five levels.

The experience jump for the final levels is absolutely massive.

Getting to level 10 required around 98,000 XP. To put that into perspective, level 9 required around 48,000 XP.

That means the experience requirement nearly doubled for the final level.

So, if you are wondering why this questline feels like it takes forever, the Swiftness Charm grind is easily one of the biggest reasons.

You will need to spend a lot of time fishing and collecting XP before finally reaching level 10.

Once you finally complete the grind, though, you can return and claim your reward.

After reaching Swiftness Charm level 10 and completing the required questline, you can finally unlock the Breeze Caster.

When I completed the objective, the reward appeared, and the Breeze Caster Rod was unlocked.

There is also another reward path connected to the questline. You can choose between the Breeze Caster and another reward, which is a Harpoon.

Personally, I did not see much reason to grind for the Harpoon because I already had the Halibut Harpoon, which I considered much more useful.

So, the Breeze Caster was the important reward for me.

The Breeze Caster has the following stats:

• 40% Lure Speed

• 155% Luck

• 0.35 Control

• 30% Resilience

• 200 Kkg

• 0 Progress Speed

• 0 Disturbance

The rod has decent Control and Luck, but overall, I personally found the stats disappointing considering how much time the entire questline took.

The 40% Lure Speed is one of the biggest problems for me. It is quite low, meaning you will likely need to use high Lure Speed bait and possibly Lure Speed potions to compensate.

The 200 Kkg capacity is another disappointing point.

After spending so many hours completing the requirements, I expected the rod to be at least a little stronger.

Personally, I was pretty disappointed with the Breeze Caster.

This was probably one of the longest and most tedious rods to obtain in the entire update when looking at the amount of time required.

The video progression may not make the grind look as long because of all the time skips, but the actual process took hours of fishing, AFK grinding, completing weather-specific objectives, and leveling the Swiftness Charm.

I was expecting the Breeze Caster to have better stats after all that work.

There also does not appear to be any special passive attached to the rod. After testing it while fishing, I could not find any hidden passive that made it significantly better.

So, in my opinion, the reward does not really match the amount of time required to obtain it.

After getting the Breeze Caster, there are still plenty of other quests available in the Skycrest update.

However, not all of them give you additional rods or major equipment.

Some of the remaining quests are mainly connected to unlocking more Amulets. One of the quests also allows you to use the Amulets outside of Skycrest.

There are still plenty of things to complete, but if your main goal is getting rods, the Breeze Caster is one of the major rewards from this questline.

Getting the Breeze Caster Rod in Fisch takes a lot of patience.

You need to work through several quests, complete Perfect Catch objectives, fish for specific Gusty or Breeze fish, use your Hang Glider, catch a Wyvern under the required conditions, and then spend a huge amount of time leveling the Swiftness Charm to level 10.

The final charm grind is easily the longest part of the process, especially because the XP requirement for level 10 is so high.

Once everything is finished, you can unlock the Breeze Caster Rod and check out its stats for yourself.

Personally, after spending so much time on the entire questline, I expected a better reward. The Breeze Caster has some decent stats, but the low Lure Speed and 200 Kkg capacity make it feel underwhelming for the amount of work required.

Still, if you are trying to collect every rod from the update, completing this questline is the way to get the Breeze Caster.
