How to Get the Great Dream Waker Harpoon Gun in Fisch

If you’ve been working through the Cursed Isle Bestiary in Fisch, there’s a pretty expensive reward waiting for you once you’ve made enough progress: the Great Dream Waker.

And this isn’t just another Harpoon Gun sitting in a shop that you can grab as soon as you have enough C$. There are actually two things standing between you and the weapon: 1,500,000C$ and a 75% Cursed Isle Bestiary completion requirement.

The Great Dream Waker also has a very obvious theme. Its description mentions Eldritch energy and Cthulhu, while its stats include a substantial Hunt Focus bonus specifically for the Leviathan.

So, if you’re trying to figure out where the Great Dream Waker is hiding or why the game won’t let you purchase it yet, here’s what you need to know.

The Great Dream Waker is located on Cursed Isle.

Once you reach the island, look for a collapsed house. The Harpoon Gun can be found on top of the collapsed structure, rather than inside a normal weapon shop.

Once you’re in the right part of Cursed Isle, check the top of the collapsed house and you should find the Great Dream Waker there.

Finding it, however, doesn’t automatically mean you can buy it.

Before purchasing the Great Dream Waker, you need to complete 75% of the Cursed Isle Bestiary.

That’s the actual progression requirement attached to the Harpoon Gun.

So your requirements are:

• Reach Cursed Isle

• Complete at least 75% of the Cursed Isle Bestiary

• Save 1,500,000C$

• Go to approximately 1870, 136, 1284

• Find the Great Dream Waker on top of the collapsed house

• Purchase it once you’ve met the Bestiary requirement

If you’ve found the weapon but can’t purchase it despite having enough money, check your Cursed Isle Bestiary progress. Having 1.5 million C$ by itself isn’t enough.

The Great Dream Waker costs:

1,500,000C$

That’s obviously not pocket change, so I’d recommend getting the 75% Bestiary requirement finished first before worrying about saving every last C$.

There’s not much point sitting on 1.5 million if you’re still nowhere near the required Cursed Isle completion.

Once you’re approaching 75%, then it makes sense to make sure you’ve got enough money ready for the purchase.

Here’s what you’re getting for that 1,500,000C$ investment:

There’s quite a bit going on here, but one stat immediately jumps out: Leviathan +30 Hunt Focus.

The Great Dream Waker has:

That makes the weapon particularly interesting if you’re planning on hunting Leviathans rather than simply choosing a Harpoon Gun based on its general stats.

Its Eldritch/Cthulhu theme fits that role pretty nicely as well.

The in-game flavor text describes it as:

“Pulsing with Eldritch energy… Beckons Cthulhu to clutch and curse nearby sea life.”

So this very clearly isn’t meant to feel like your ordinary piece of fishing equipment.

On paper, the Great Dream Waker has some really attractive numbers.

22 Power is paired with a huge 128-stud range, while its maximum weight capacity reaches 35,000 kg. You also get the aforementioned +30 Hunt Focus toward Leviathan.

But there are compromises.

The weapon only has 30% Accuracy, and more importantly, its Resilience is -20%.

That negative Resilience is something I’d pay attention to. The Great Dream Waker may offer some appealing hunting potential, but its stat spread isn’t simply positive across the board.

Its complete package matters more than looking at Power alone.

Two more impressive numbers are the 128-stud Range and 35,000 kg Max Kg.

That gives you plenty of distance to work with while also supporting extremely heavy targets.

Its projectile velocity is 35/ps, while reload time sits at 2.5 seconds.

How valuable each of those numbers feels will ultimately depend on what you’re hunting, but combined with the Leviathan Hunt Focus, you can see what sort of encounters the Great Dream Waker is leaning toward.

This is where the weapon becomes a little less straightforward.

-20% Resilience

So while some of the Great Dream Waker’s headline numbers look excellent, you aren’t getting them without trade-offs.

If you’re deciding whether to spend 1,500,000C$, don’t look only at its 22 Power or 128 Range. The negative Resilience in particular should be part of that decision.

The Great Dream Waker also comes with +9 Disturbance.

Disturbance is listed separately from the more familiar Power, Range, Reload, Velocity, Resilience, and Accuracy stats, so don’t overlook it when comparing the Great Dream Waker against other Harpoon Guns.

Its complete stat profile is what you’re paying for—not simply the weapon’s Power rating.
