How to Level Up Fast in Dungeon Quest Reborn

Published 26 Aug 2026, 10:36 am · 9 min read

If you want to level up quickly in Dungeon Quest Reborn, you don’t want to simply repeat the same dungeon over and over without a plan. In this guide, I’ll show you the methods I use to speed up progression, including XP boosts, Hardcore Mode, choosing the right difficulty, getting carried by stronger players, improving your gear, and making sure your build isn’t holding you back.

How to Level Up Fast in Dungeon Quest Reborn

The easiest way to speed up your leveling is to use XP boosts whenever you can.

XP boosts increase the amount of experience you receive from your runs, which means you can reach the next level much faster without having to spend as much time grinding.

You can find boosts in the game and purchase them using Gold. If you’re willing to spend Robux, you can also use that to obtain Gold and then spend it on boosts.

The important thing is to make sure you’re actually using your boosts while you’re actively farming XP. There’s not much point in buying a boost and letting most of its duration expire while you’re doing something else.

Buy the Two-Hour XP Boost

When you’re buying boosts, pay attention to the value you’re getting for your Gold.

The two-hour boost is one of the better options because it gives you more time for a relatively efficient price.

For example, if a one-hour boost costs around 750 million Gold, two hours would cost 1.5 billion Gold at the same rate.

However, buying four separate one-hour boosts or choosing some of the longer options can become less efficient.

The important thing to remember is that you can have a maximum of 10 hours of boosts active.

So, if you’re planning a long grinding session, the two-hour option is the one I’d prioritize.

Use Hardcore Mode for Extra XP

If you’re confident that you can survive a dungeon, Hardcore Mode is another excellent way to speed up your progression.

Hardcore Mode gives each party member only one life, but in exchange you receive:

• 10% more XP

• 10% more Luck

• One additional loot drop

That extra XP is exactly what we’re looking for when leveling.

The additional Luck and loot are also useful because better drops can help you improve your gear and progress into harder dungeons.

The catch is obvious: you cannot afford to die.

If you die during a Hardcore run, you lose that attempt, so don’t force Hardcore if you’re constantly failing.

If you’re comfortably clearing a dungeon without dying, though, I’d definitely turn Hardcore Mode on.

Move to Higher Difficulties Quickly

One of the biggest mistakes you can make when leveling is staying in an easy difficulty for too long.

You want to move up as soon as your character is strong enough.

A basic progression path is:

Level 1 → Medium → Hard → Insane → Nightmare

When you’re starting out, play the early dungeon until you’re around level 6, then move up to the next difficulty.

Once you reach around level 12, start looking toward Insane difficulty.

After that, work toward Nightmare as soon as your character can handle it.

The higher difficulties give you better experience, so spending too much time farming an easier dungeon isn’t an efficient way to level.

That said, don’t leave a dungeon right before completing it just because you hit a new level. If you’re already close to finishing, it’s usually worth completing the run.

Don’t Be Afraid to Leave a Dungeon

If you’re halfway through a dungeon and you realize you’ve reached the level needed for the next difficulty, you don’t necessarily need to finish the entire run.

You can leave and move on to a higher difficulty if that will give you significantly better XP.

This is especially useful when you’re trying to level as quickly as possible.

The general idea is simple:

Don’t farm old content longer than necessary.

Once you’re strong enough for the next difficulty, move forward.

Get Carried by Higher-Level Players

If your goal is simply to level as quickly as possible, getting carried by a stronger player is probably the fastest method.

Higher-level players can clear dungeons much faster than a new player, and they often have abilities that provide movement or speed advantages.

This means you can get through runs much faster than you would be able to solo.

If you have a friend who is significantly stronger than you, ask them to help you progress.

You can also find players through the Dungeon Quest Reborn community and Discord.

This can save you a huge amount of grinding time.

Join the Dungeon Quest Reborn Discord

The game’s Discord community can be useful if you need help progressing.

You can use the community to:

• Find players willing to carry you

• Ask questions

• Trade items

• Meet other players

• Find people to run dungeons with

The creator mentioned the DQR Discord as another place where players can ask for carries and trade.

If you’re struggling to progress alone, finding an experienced player is often much faster than trying to brute-force every dungeon yourself.

Keep Your Build Focused

Leveling quickly isn’t only about XP.

Your character also needs enough damage to clear dungeons efficiently.

If you’re playing Mage, put your skill points into Spell Power.

If you’re playing Warrior, focus on Physical Power.

Don’t randomly spread your points between the two.

A focused build will give you significantly better damage and make it easier to move into the next difficulty.

For example, if all of your skills scale with Spell Power, investing into Physical Power isn’t going to help you clear the dungeon faster.

Use the Gear You Get Early On

When you’re still starting out, don’t be too picky about your equipment.

Use the best gear available to you and replace it as you find stronger items.

Your early equipment is mostly there to help you survive long enough to reach better content.

As you progress, you’ll start finding much stronger equipment from higher-level dungeons.

Once you obtain a better item, make sure you upgrade the correct stat.

If you’re a Mage, don’t accidentally spend your resources upgrading the item with Physical Power when you need Spell Power.

That kind of mistake can seriously hurt your damage.

Save Better Gear for the Right Level

If you’re already at a relatively high level but your equipment isn’t great, sometimes it makes more sense to wait until the next important level milestone before investing heavily.

For example, if you’re around level 80 and you’re looking for better equipment, reaching around level 85 can give you access to better rewards.

Daily rewards can also help.

You can claim them approximately every 12 hours, so don’t forget to collect them.

There’s also a particularly useful progression trick where reaching certain high-level milestones can allow you to obtain items associated with the next difficulty without actually completing that difficulty first.

This can give you a nice boost when you’re trying to catch up.

Don’t Confuse Cosmetics With Gear

Cosmetics can look amazing, but they aren’t going to increase your combat power.

So don’t equip a cosmetic expecting it to improve your gear or stats.

Items such as the Demonic Daggers and Ice Elemental armor may look great, but they’re cosmetic choices rather than upgrades to your actual combat equipment.

If you’re trying to level efficiently, focus on your real equipment first.

You can worry about looking stylish afterward.

Take Advantage of Game Passes

There are also several game passes and bonuses that can make progression easier.

Some of the useful options mentioned include:

• 2x Gold

• VIP

• 20% additional EXP

• Extra item drops

• Free stat resets

The extra EXP is obviously useful for leveling, while additional drops can help you improve your equipment faster.

Free stat resets are also convenient because you can experiment with different builds without constantly spending Gold to fix your mistakes.

If you already have access to these bonuses, make sure you’re actually taking advantage of them while grinding.

Lower Your Graphics if You’re Lagging

This might not directly increase your XP, but it can make a huge difference if your game is lagging.

If you’re struggling with performance, go into your graphics settings and switch to Manual.

Then lower the graphics quality as much as necessary.

You can also disable unnecessary visual effects such as:

• Ability effects

• Damage effects

• Music if you don’t need it

The goal is to make the game run smoothly.

A smoother game means you can react faster, avoid unnecessary deaths, and complete your runs more consistently.

There’s no point running Hardcore Mode for the extra XP if lag causes you to die halfway through the dungeon.

Use Healing Skills

Survival becomes increasingly important as you move into harder difficulties.

If you’re playing Mage, I recommend keeping a healing skill available whenever possible.

The game allows you to use different skill sets, so you can keep one set focused on damage and another focused on healing.

On PC, you can press F to switch between your skill sets.

For example, you could have:

Set 1: Your main damage abilities

Set 2: Healing and defensive abilities

When your health gets low, switch to your healing setup, heal yourself, and then switch back to your damage skills.

This is particularly useful when you’re playing solo and don’t have another player around to keep you alive.

Use Skill Sets to Stay Alive

The ability to switch between skill sets is something you should take advantage of rather than ignoring it.

You can have your main DPS abilities equipped for clearing enemies, then keep a healing spell on your second set.

When you’re low on health:

• Press F.

• Switch to your healing set.

• Use your healing ability.

• Switch back to your damage set.

• Continue the dungeon.

It takes a little practice, but once you get used to it, it can make difficult runs much safer.

Use Strong Skills to Clear Faster

A strong skill can make a huge difference to your leveling speed.

One example is Phantom Flames.

Even though you obtain Phantom Flames from Pirate Island, the skill can remain extremely powerful much later in the game.

It can still deal excellent damage even when you’re fighting enemies in later areas such as Underworld.

If you already have Phantom Flames, I strongly recommend keeping it in your Mage loadout until you obtain something substantially better.

The faster you clear enemies, the faster you finish your dungeon, and the faster you gain XP.

Upgrade Your Gear Correctly

Once you obtain a good item, make sure you’re upgrading the correct power type.

This is particularly important if you’re using Mage gear.

If an item is designed for Mage, you want to invest into the stats that increase your Spell Power rather than accidentally putting your resources into Physical Power.

The same applies to Warrior equipment.

Before upgrading anything, look at the item and make sure you’re investing into the stat that actually benefits your build.

You Can’t Trade Items From Any Dungeon

Trading is useful, but there are limits.

You can’t simply have another player give you equipment from a dungeon that is far beyond your current progression.

So don’t expect a high-level player to hand you an item from a dungeon several worlds ahead of where you currently are.

You still need to progress through the game’s dungeon progression.

This means carries are useful for leveling, but they don’t completely remove the progression system.
