How to Spawn Ghost Ship in Haze Seas – Drop Rates

If you’ve been sailing around C3 in Haze Seas wondering where everyone is getting Phantom Lanterns from, there’s a good chance the Ghost Ship event is what you’re missing. The slightly annoying part is that you can’t just sail to a location and find the ship waiting for you. You actually have to summon it yourself, and there are a couple of requirements that are very easy to overlook.

The whole process revolves around the Storm Event, Land of the Gods, and sacrificing Devil Fruits. You’ll need fruits worth a combined 20 points, but thankfully that doesn’t mean sacrificing 20 good fruits.

I’ll explain exactly where to go, which fruits are worth using, how the altar works, and what you can get after destroying the Ghost Ship.

The Ghost Ship is a special C3 event, so you won’t be able to summon it while progressing through earlier seas.

To spawn it, you need to:

• Be in C3.

• Wait for a Storm Event.

• Travel to Land of the Gods.

• Find the Devil Fruit altar.

• Sacrifice Devil Fruits worth 20 total points.

• Wait for the Ghost Ship to appear near the island.

It sounds pretty simple when you put it like that, but there’s one important catch: the altar isn’t permanently available.

Head over to Land of the Gods in C3 and look around the edge of the throne building.

The altar has a circular green base, so it’s fairly noticeable once you know what you’re searching for. You may also see a glowing effect around it while another player is interacting with it.

If you arrive at the correct location and there’s nothing there, you probably haven’t done anything wrong.

The altar only appears during the Storm Event.

According to the current event timing, a Storm occurs roughly every 2 hours and 35 minutes. This means you’ll want to have your Devil Fruits ready beforehand rather than scrambling through your inventory once the event starts.

Personally, I’d start saving unwanted duplicate fruits as soon as you reach C3. It makes farming Ghost Ships much less painful later.

This is the most important part of the Ghost Ship summon.

You need to sacrifice Devil Fruits until the altar reaches 20 points. Each fruit contributes a different number of points depending on its rarity.

So no, you do not need a Mythic Fruit to summon the Ghost Ship.

For example, four Rare fruits would give you:

5 + 5 + 5 + 5 = 20 points

You could also mix different rarities. A Legendary fruit gives 15 points, meaning you’d only need another 5 points to finish the summon.

A Mythic is basically the instant option. One Mythic gives the entire 20-point requirement by itself.

I wouldn’t automatically throw a valuable Mythic into the altar just because it’s faster, though. If you have a pile of duplicate Common, Uncommon, or Rare fruits sitting around, combining those is usually the better deal.

Once the Storm Event is active and you’ve found the altar, open your inventory and equip the Devil Fruit you want to sacrifice.

Walk up to the altar and hold D to place the fruit into it.

Continue adding fruits until you’ve contributed a total of 20 points.

The Ghost Ship will now appear in the waters near Land of the Gods.

There is one nice thing about this fight: the Ghost Ship itself doesn’t deal damage.

The real inconvenience is movement.

It continues sailing around the waters surrounding the island while you’re fighting it. You may have to chase the ship and reposition yourself several times rather than standing in one spot and dumping all your abilities into it.

If you’re farming with other players, this becomes much easier because everyone can keep pressure on the ship as it moves.

Destroying the Ghost Ship gives you two guaranteed rewards, along with a chance at several additional drops.

The big reward here is definitely the Phantom Lantern.

Even if your luck is terrible with the 10% drops, every successful Ghost Ship clear will still give you a Phantom Lantern and Ghost Chest.

That makes repeated summons worthwhile rather than having the entire event depend on RNG.

The Phantom Lantern is guaranteed when you destroy a Ghost Ship.

There’s no separate quest or additional RNG involved. Summon the Ghost Ship, destroy it, and you’ll receive one.

More importantly, this isn’t just another material you’ll throw into storage and forget about.

The Phantom Lantern is needed for some important progression and crafting content, including:

• Black Leg Fighting Style V2

• Prismatic Shard

• Dominus Messer

If you’re planning to unlock Black Leg V2, you’ll eventually need to deal with the Ghost Ship event.

And because Phantom Lanterns are tied specifically to Ghost Ships, I’d recommend keeping the ones you earn even if you don’t currently need them.

There isn’t really one perfect combination. It depends on what you have sitting in your inventory.

Personally, I’d prioritize duplicate low-value fruits.

Common fruits only contribute one point each, which isn’t great individually, but they’re perfectly useful if you have a bunch you weren’t going to use anyway. Uncommon and Rare fruits are much more convenient because they let you hit 20 points without sacrificing something particularly valuable.

Legendary fruits can speed things up considerably at 15 points each, but whether that trade is worthwhile depends on the fruit.

And Mythic?

Yes, it instantly summons the Ghost Ship because it’s worth all 20 points. But unless that Mythic is genuinely useless to you, sacrificing several weaker duplicates makes much more sense.

Fastest doesn’t always mean cheapest.

The altar tracks the combined point value of the Devil Fruits you sacrifice, so you can mix rarities until you reach 20 points.

For example:

1 Legendary + 1 Rare = 20 points

or

4 Rare = 20 points

You can also use combinations involving Common and Uncommon fruits.

This is useful because it gives otherwise unwanted fruits another purpose. Instead of immediately getting rid of every duplicate you find, you can stockpile them for the next Storm Event.

If you need Phantom Lanterns, absolutely.

The guaranteed Phantom Lantern means you aren’t repeatedly sacrificing fruits just for a tiny chance at the material you actually need. As long as you successfully summon and destroy the Ghost Ship, you’re making progress.

The additional Blade Fragment, Ghastly Haki, and Race Spin drops are basically bonuses on top.

The bigger limitation is the Storm Event timer. Since you can’t use the altar whenever you want, Ghost Ship farming is something you should prepare for ahead of time.

Keep spare Devil Fruits in storage, and when the Storm Event arrives, you’ll already have enough altar points ready.

One mistake I’d avoid is sacrificing expensive fruits without checking your inventory first. Twenty points might initially sound like a lot, but Rare fruits already give five each. Four unwanted Rares will do exactly the same job as sacrificing a Mythic.

Also, don’t wander too far after completing the altar. The Ghost Ship appears near Land of the Gods, and because it keeps moving through the water, finding it quickly gives you more time to stay on top of it and deal damage.

If you’re playing with friends, this is also a good event to farm together. The ship has a hefty health pool, and having multiple players attacking makes the clear much quicker.
