LOCKED 2 Beginner Guide – Trello, Wiki & Top 5 Tips

If you’re just getting into Roblox LOCKED:2, let me save you from the same confusion most of us had early on. This game looks simple at first—kick ball, score goals, win matches. But once you actually start playing, you realise there’s a lot happening under the surface. Flow types, heights, weird mechanics like bicycle kicks, weapon stacking… none of it is explained properly.

I remember jumping in thinking I’d figure it out quickly—and instead I spent hours making the wrong choices, using the wrong setups, and wondering why I felt weaker than everyone else.

So instead of you going through that, here are 5 important things explained properly, the way someone should’ve told you from the start.

Flow Types

This is one of the first systems you see, and also one of the most misunderstood.

Inside your customization menu, you’ll find Flow Types, which basically act as buffs when your flow activates. A lot of players argue about “best flow,” but realistically, two stand out:

  • Offball
  • Burst

What you should actually use

If you want something reliable → Offball is the safest and strongest choice

Why?
Because most of the time, you don’t have the ball. Offball gives you better value consistently, especially in real matches.

Burst is still good—but it’s more situational and works better if you build around it.

Quick advice:

  • Offball = consistent speed + longer uptime
  • Burst = stronger impact, but shorter and more situational

If you’re new, don’t overthink it—just go Offball and move on.

Height System

This is not cosmetic. Height actually affects gameplay in a big way.

And I mean big.

Different heights change:

  • Cooldowns
  • Movement feel
  • Playstyle effectiveness

The biggest mistake players make

They copy a YouTuber’s height thinking it’s “meta.”

That doesn’t work here.

What you should do instead

Pick based on your playstyle:

  • Short (5’3 – 5’9) → faster, lower cooldowns
  • Mid (5’9) → balanced all-rounder
  • Tall (6’0+) → better presence, different play feel

Real talk

Playing 5’3 vs 6’3 feels like two completely different games.

Take time to experiment. Don’t rush this decision.

Bicycle Kick Mechanic

This is one of those mechanics the game barely explains—but it’s actually huge.

You can perform manual bicycle kicks without needing specific abilities.

How to do it

  • Hold your backward key (S)
  • Charge your shot
  • Jump
  • Release mid-air

That’s it—but timing matters.

Why this matters

  • You can jump MUCH higher than normal
  • It helps in aerial plays
  • It gives you scoring angles others can’t reach

Important warning

If you’re new, this can mess you up.

A lot.

Because holding backward while shooting might accidentally trigger it—and you’ll send the ball in the wrong direction.

My suggestion

  • Beginner → turn it OFF in settings
  • Later → turn it ON and practice

Weapon Stacking

This is probably the most confusing mechanic in the game.

People either think it’s broken… or don’t understand it at all.

What actually happens

When you combine two weapons, the game takes:

  • The best trait from each
  • And merges them into one shot

Example (simple version)

  • One weapon = fast charge
  • Another = strong power

Stack them → you get fast + strong

Why it matters

  • You can create insanely efficient shots
  • You don’t need to “use both weapons separately”
  • It simplifies gameplay once you understand it

Reality check

This isn’t a bug. It’s intentional.

And yes—it’s going to be very important in competitive play.

Private Servers

Private servers in LOCKED:2 are actually powerful tools—not just for messing around.

They give you control over:

  • Ball spawning
  • Cooldowns
  • Flow
  • Match settings
  • Even gravity and multipliers

Why you should care

If you’re serious about improving:

  • You can practice mechanics without pressure
  • Test builds and setups
  • Learn faster than in public matches

Small but useful tip

You can even:

  • Freeze players
  • Reset flow
  • Adjust game speed and physics

Basically, it’s your personal training ground.

If you’re just starting, don’t try to master everything at once.

Focus on this order:

  1. Pick a Flow (Offball recommended)
  2. Experiment with Height
  3. Ignore bicycle kicks at first (or disable them)
  4. Slowly learn weapon stacking
  5. Use private servers to practice

That alone will put you ahead of most new players.
