Mashle Academy Race Tier List – All Races Explained

In Mashle Academy, your race plays a big role in how your character performs, especially in PvP. Unlike magic, which defines your abilities, races mainly affect your survivability, utility, and combat advantages.

Some races are strong on their own, while others only become powerful when combined with the right build. So instead of focusing on rarity, you need to understand how each race actually performs in real fights.

S Tier Race (Best Overall)

Dark Elf

Dark Elf is currently one of the strongest races in the game, mainly because of its defensive power.

It provides a flat 10% damage reduction against magic attacks, which is extremely valuable since most combat in the game revolves around magic-based damage. This makes you naturally tanky in almost every situation.

Its awakening ability allows you to absorb a magic attack and reflect it back, dealing damage in return. This can completely turn fights around if timed correctly. However, this ability requires good timing, because if you use it at the wrong moment, you lose its value.

Overall, Dark Elf stands out because it directly counters the current meta, making it one of the most reliable choices.

A Tier Races (Very Strong Picks)

Orc

Orc is a strong and well-balanced race that works well in both PvE and PvP.

Its main ability creates a fear effect in an area, reducing enemy defense and slowing them down. This makes it very effective for setting up combos and controlling fights.

It also provides damage resistance against muscle-based attacks, which can be useful in certain matchups.

Orc is not the strongest race overall, but it is very consistent and effective in many situations.

Bastaya

Bastaya is a high-skill defensive race that rewards good timing.

It improves your perfect dodge window, making it easier to avoid attacks. If you play well, you can dodge attacks repeatedly and avoid taking damage almost entirely.

Its special ability allows you to perform a quick dodge counter, which can be used frequently if executed correctly.

However, if you fail your timing, you get a long cooldown penalty, which makes it risky. Because of this, Bastaya is very strong in skilled hands but less reliable for beginners.

Demon

Demon is a powerful race with strong sustain abilities.

It provides lifesteal, allowing you to recover health while attacking. This is especially useful in longer fights or against bosses.

It also has an ability that lets you finish off low-health enemies with a strong attack, making it very effective in aggressive playstyles.

However, Demon is not overpowered on its own. To fully take advantage of it, you need good combos and synergy with your magic. That is why it stays in A tier instead of S tier.

B Tier Races (Decent but Limited)

Elf

Elf is more focused on resource management rather than combat strength.

It increases your stamina regeneration, allowing you to use abilities more frequently. This is helpful for long fights or grinding.

Its ability summons spirits that deal damage and drop resources, which helps maintain your mana.

While this makes Elf useful for PvE and farming, it lacks the damage and pressure needed for high-level PvP. That is why it performs only moderately well.

Angel

Angel is a defensive and stylish race, but it struggles in competitive gameplay.

It allows you to parry attacks without being pushed back, and successful parries give you a speed boost. This can help with counterattacks.

Its awakening ability creates a defensive stance followed by a large attack, which looks powerful but does not combo well with other abilities.

While Angel can feel strong in casual play, it lacks synergy and damage compared to higher-tier races.

C Tier Race (Weak Option)

Human

Human is the default starting race and is the weakest overall.

Its main ability increases the amount of coins you get, which is useful early on but not helpful in combat.

It also slightly improves your chances of adapting into hybrid races, but this does not provide a direct advantage in fights.

Because it lacks combat strength, survivability, or utility, Human is not recommended for serious gameplay.

Choosing the right race can significantly improve your performance, but it should always match your playstyle.

  • If you want the strongest overall option → Dark Elf
  • If you prefer combo setups → Orc
  • If you like skill-based defense → Bastaya
  • If you want sustain and survivability → Demon

Lower-tier races can still work, but they require more effort and better builds to compete with stronger options.
