San Diego Border Roleplay Vehicle Trading Update – Codes

In this post, I’m going to show you everything important that was added in the latest San Diego Border Roleplay update. There are several new features to check out, including vehicle trading, new codes, vehicle favoriting, an improved minimap, apartment controls, weather effects, and a new camera system for cops.

The biggest addition is definitely vehicle trading, which introduces a completely new currency and a dedicated trading hub. I’ll explain how the trading system works, where to find it, and how you can earn the currency needed to buy and sell vehicles.

There are also several smaller quality-of-life changes that are easy to miss, so I’ll go through everything step by step. If you just started playing or haven’t checked out the update yet, this guide should help you understand what has changed.

Before checking out the new features, you should redeem the currently available codes.

To redeem a code, open the Home menu and go to Rewards. From there, enter the code you want to use.

The first new code is:

VEHICLETRADING

This code gives you $25,000.

Make sure you redeem it while it is active because event-related codes can sometimes expire.

There is also another temporary code:

UPDATEBONUS

This code gives you $200,000.

However, this one is only active for around 30 minutes, according to the update information, so you should redeem it as soon as possible.

One of the smaller but very useful changes is the new vehicle favorite system.

You can now favorite vehicles that you use frequently. Once a vehicle is favorited, it will appear at the top of your vehicle spawner list.

This is a simple quality-of-life improvement, but I think it’s going to be especially useful if you own a lot of vehicles. Instead of scrolling through your entire collection every time you want to spawn your favorite car, you can keep the important ones at the top.

The update also adds the ability to sell vehicles.

You can sell your cars for a portion of their original purchase price. The exact amount shown in the video was around 40–50%, although the precise percentage wasn’t confirmed.

So, if you have vehicles sitting in your garage that you no longer use, selling them can give you some money back.

The secondary inspection area has also received a visual and functional revamp.

Instead of the older setup, you now have to walk through the new entrance and move through the updated inspection area.

There are new scanners inside, along with a new exit.

One important thing to keep in mind is that using the wrong exit may potentially give you a one-star wanted level, so pay attention when you’re leaving the area.

Another major quality-of-life improvement is the updated minimap.

The minimap now shows more information, including:

• Landmarks

• Players moving around the map

• Navigation information

• Directions toward selected locations

You can also click the minimap to open the full map.

If you want to travel to a particular landmark, you can select it from the map.

The game will then provide navigation while you’re driving.

You’ll be able to see where you need to turn, making it much easier to find locations without constantly opening the full map.

Once you reach your destination, the navigation will also tell you that you’ve arrived.

For a roleplay game with a fairly large map, this is a really useful improvement.

The biggest feature of the update is the new vehicle trading system.

To access it, head down into the parking area. You’ll find a new section that allows you to teleport to the Trading Hub.

Once you arrive at the trading hub, you can stand on the green circle to view the vehicles currently listed by other players.

The system works around a new currency called Gold Tickets.

You can use Gold Tickets to buy vehicles listed by other players.

If you want to sell one of your own vehicles, walk over to one of the available parking spaces in the trading hub.

From there, you can choose a vehicle and enter the number of Gold Tickets you want to receive for it.

Once you confirm the listing, your vehicle will appear in the trading area for other players to purchase.

If another player buys it, you receive the listed Gold Tickets.

You can also use the Manage Listing option if you want to remove your vehicle from the trading area or unclaim your parking spot.

When you’re finished trading, you don’t have to stay in the hub.

You can either use the exit door or press the Exit button on the right side of the screen.

You’ll then be returned to the parking area where you originally entered the trading hub.

While vehicle trading sounds exciting, there is one major problem: it uses a completely new currency.

You can’t simply use your normal in-game money to purchase another player’s vehicle.

Instead, you need Gold Tickets, and earning them can be fairly difficult.

Because the currency is scarce, trading can feel slower than expected.

So while I like the idea of having a player-driven vehicle marketplace, the limited supply of Gold Tickets makes the system feel somewhat restrictive.

Apartments have also received some useful improvements.

When you enter your apartment, you’ll now find a new button in the top-right corner.

Opening it brings up a management menu where you can see information and control access to your apartment.

The menu can show things such as:

• Wanted level

• Warrants

• Apartment status

• Whitelisted players

• Blacklisted players

• Players currently inside

You can now whitelist players so they can open and close your apartment doors.

To do this, enter the player’s name and allow them access.

This is useful if you regularly roleplay with friends and don’t want to manually open the doors for them every time.

You can also blacklist players.

If someone is already inside your apartment and you don’t want them there, you can use the kick option to remove them.

For example, the update demonstrates selecting a player from the apartment menu and pressing the X button. The player is then removed from the apartment.

This gives apartment owners much more control over who can access their property.

The new apartment menu also includes a Despawn Apartment option.

Using this will unclaim or free your apartment.

However, you’ll need to make sure you don’t have a wanted level before trying to despawn it.

Gold Tickets are connected to the new vehicle trading system, and you’ll need to earn them before you can purchase vehicles from other players.

The main way shown in the update is through bank robberies.

During a bank robbery, you’ll now find new Gold Nuggets scattered around the robbery area.

These nuggets can be collected and converted into the currency needed for vehicle trading.

Gold Nuggets spawn in random positions around the bank.

Because their locations aren’t fixed, you’ll need to search different areas during the robbery.

There’s also a limit based on your bag capacity. If your bag is already full, you won’t be able to pick up additional Gold Nuggets.

This means you’ll need to manage your inventory carefully while collecting them.

The number of nuggets you can get can also be quite low, especially when multiple players are participating in the same robbery.

The video shows getting roughly four Gold Nuggets during one robbery.

So if you’re trying to save up for an expensive vehicle, expect to spend some time farming them.

The update also introduces new weather effects.

San Diego Border Roleplay now has additional weather conditions, including:

• Cloudy weather

• Rain

These changes add more atmosphere to the map and make the world feel a little more dynamic.

Police players also get a new camera tool.

When you use the camera tool, you can view the online security cameras around the map.

You can cycle between different cameras and check various locations without physically driving there.

This can be particularly useful for police roleplay because you can monitor different areas of the map and potentially keep an eye on suspicious activity.

Overall, this update adds a good mix of major features and smaller quality-of-life improvements.

The vehicle trading system is easily the biggest addition, although the requirement to earn a separate and relatively scarce Gold Ticket currency makes it feel somewhat underwhelming at the moment.

The improvements to the minimap and navigation are much simpler but arguably more useful for everyday gameplay. Vehicle favoriting is another feature you’ll probably appreciate if you have a large collection of cars.

The new apartment controls, weather system, secondary inspection area, and police camera tool also give players more things to use during roleplay.

If you’re jumping into the update for the first time, I’d recommend redeeming the codes immediately, especially the limited-time UPDATEBONUS code, then checking out the trading hub and starting to collect Gold Nuggets through bank robberies.
