The Mermaid Cove NPC (Calyra) is one of the most important additions in the latest Fisch update. She’s tied directly to the new Shell system, so finding her early gives you a big advantage.
Here’s the exact path—no confusion, no wasted time.
Step 1: Go to Grand Reef
Start by heading to Grand Reef, which is the main entry point for the new update content.
Before you go further, make sure you have:
- Scuba gear / oxygen setup
- Any movement or survival tools you normally use underwater
You’ll be diving for this route.
Step 2: Find the Broken Entrance Area
Once you reach Grand Reef, go to the area where the front entrance was previously opened/exploded.
From here:
- Turn right
- Look for a glowing underwater cavern
This glowing cave is the key—if you don’t see it, you’re in the wrong spot.
Step 3: Enter the Hidden Cavern
Swim into the glowing cavern.
Inside:
- Follow the path straight through
- Don’t turn off into random tunnels—just keep moving forward
This area leads directly into Mermaid Cove.
Step 4: Reach Mermaid Cove
After moving through the cave, you’ll enter a hidden space—this is Mermaid Cove.
Keep going slightly forward and upward.
Step 5: Find the NPC (Calyra)
At the end of the path, you’ll find Calyra, the new NPC.
When you talk to her:
- She introduces the Shell system
- You’ll be asked to collect shells from beaches and shorelines
- You can trade shells for buff-based consumables
These buffs are temporary, but very powerful—especially for progression.
