Grand Blue Life Skills Guide – Fishing, Mining, Farming

Life Skills are an important part of Grand Blue, and there are four different skills you can work on: Fishing, Mining, Farming, and Cooking. Each one gives you a different way to collect resources, earn Gold, or prepare useful items.

You can level each Life Skill all the way to Level 100. As you use a skill, you’ll earn EXP from the activities connected to it. Generally, better or rarer resources give more EXP, so you’ll naturally progress faster as you start working with higher-quality materials.

Once you reach Level 100 in a Life Skill, you can Rebirth that skill. This resets your progress, but you’ll receive Rebirth Tokens that can be spent on special Life Skill upgrades outside of the normal skill tree. You can also earn Gold and Celestial Coins by reaching Life Skill milestones.

Grand Blue Life Skills Guide – Fishing, Mining, Farming

Life Skills are one of the core mechanics in Grand Blue. They give you different ways to gather resources and create useful items while progressing your character.

There are currently four Life Skills:

  • Fishing – Use your fishing rod to catch different types of fish and potentially find rare items.
  • Mining – Break ores around the islands to collect materials and Gold. These resources can be used for crafting and upgrading your gear.
  • Farming – Plant seeds, grow different plants, and harvest them once they’re ready.
  • Cooking – Combine ingredients to prepare dishes that can restore HP and provide temporary buffs.

Each skill works differently, so you can focus on whichever one fits the way you like to play.

Life Skill Leveling

All four Life Skills can be leveled up to Level 100.

You earn EXP by performing activities related to the Life Skill. For example, Mining gives you EXP when you break ores, while Fishing gives you EXP as you catch fish.

The amount of EXP you receive can depend on the quality or rarity of what you’re working with. Rarer ores, fish, or other resources generally provide more EXP than their common counterparts.

This means that continuing to improve your equipment and reaching areas with better resources can help you progress through the higher Life Skill levels.

Life Skill Rebirth

After reaching Level 100, you can Rebirth the corresponding Life Skill.

Rebirthing allows you to start leveling that skill again, but it isn’t simply a complete reset. You receive Rebirth Tokens, which can be spent on special upgrades that aren’t available in the regular Life Skill skill tree.

These upgrades can give you additional bonuses and provide another reason to keep leveling a Life Skill after you’ve already reached Level 100.

Life Skill Milestones

Life Skills also have Milestones that reward you for reaching certain progression points.

Completing these milestones can give you:

  • Gold
  • Celestial Coins

These rewards give you another reason to keep leveling your Life Skills instead of stopping once you have collected the resources you currently need.

List of All Life Skills

Fishing

Fishing lets you use a fishing rod to catch different fish around the game world. You can also have a chance of finding rare items while fishing.

If you enjoy collecting resources and don’t mind spending some time waiting for a catch, Fishing is a straightforward Life Skill to work on.

Mining

Mining is all about breaking ores around the islands. The ores you collect can provide materials and Gold, which can then be used for crafting different items and upgrading your gear.

As you encounter rarer ores, you can also earn more Mining EXP, helping you push toward the higher levels.

Farming

Farming allows you to plant and grow different plants before harvesting them.

The resources you get from Farming can also be useful for other parts of the game, including Cooking. If you plan on making plenty of food, keeping your Farming progress up can give you a steady source of ingredients.

Cooking

Cooking lets you combine ingredients to create dishes. These meals can restore HP and provide different temporary buffs.

Some dishes are useful for specific activities, while others can improve your character’s combat performance or provide other helpful effects.

Which Life Skill Should You Level?

There isn’t one Life Skill that you have to choose. You can work on all four, and each one provides different resources and benefits.

If you want to gather ores and materials for crafting and gear upgrades, Mining is a good place to start. For collecting fish and potentially finding rare items, choose Fishing. Farming is useful if you want a steady supply of plants, while Cooking lets you turn ingredients into food with useful effects.

Personally, I’d recommend trying each skill for a while rather than immediately committing to one. Since they all progress independently and have their own rewards, leveling multiple Life Skills can give you access to more resources and options as you progress through Grand Blue.
