If you’re using Shrine in Jujutsu Zero, this update is a pretty big deal. Sukuna’s Mark doesn’t just give you a small stat boost and call it a day — it completely changes how Shrine plays.
The biggest reason people are interested in this passive is the 100% Shrine damage increase, but there’s a lot more going on with it. You also get custom basic attacks, a special status effect, an Open Shrine variant, and a powerful charged attack. There is a catch, though: you lose access to your normal ailment effects.
Here’s everything you need to know about Sukuna’s Mark in Jujutsu Zero, including how to unlock it, what it does, and whether it’s actually worth getting.
Jujutsu Zero Sukuna’s Mark Guide – How to Get It, Effects & Build
Sukuna’s Mark is a passive ability designed specifically around Shrine. Once you equip the passive alongside Shrine, it gives the technique a major boost while also adding several new mechanics.
The biggest effect is simple:
- Shrine damage is increased by 100%
- You get custom basic attacks
- You unlock an Open Shrine variant
- You gain a unique Sukuna’s Mark status effect
- The status effect builds a charge meter
- Full charges unlock World Ending Slash
- Regular ailment effects are disabled while the passive is equipped
That first bonus alone makes the passive extremely valuable for Shrine users.
A 100% damage increase essentially means your Shrine abilities can deal double their previous damage, before considering the other bonuses added by the passive.
Sukuna’s Mark Gives Shrine 100% More Damage
This is easily the most important part of the passive.
When Sukuna’s Mark is equipped with Shrine, your Shrine damage gets a 100% increase. In other words, the passive effectively doubles the damage coming from your Shrine abilities.
And this isn’t happening in isolation either. Shrine itself received a buff in the same update, so Shrine players are getting multiple improvements at once.
If you’ve already invested heavily into Shrine, this is probably the first part of the passive you’ll notice.
For boss farming and raids especially, that extra damage can make a pretty noticeable difference because you’re spending less time waiting for bosses to die.
You Get Custom Basic Attacks
Sukuna’s Mark isn’t only about making your abilities hit harder.
The passive also gives you a completely different set of basic attacks.
This is actually a nice addition because there are always moments when your main abilities are on cooldown. Instead of simply waiting around, you have a custom attack pattern that fits the Sukuna/Shrine theme much better.
It also makes the passive feel like an actual gameplay upgrade rather than just another invisible damage multiplier.
Open Shrine Variant
Another major addition is the Open Shrine variant.
Once Sukuna’s Mark is active, Shrine gets access to an additional version of the technique. This gives you another powerful option to use during longer fights and adds more flexibility to the moveset.
This is particularly useful if you’re fighting bosses where you need to constantly maintain pressure rather than relying on one short burst of damage.
So you’re getting more than just stronger existing abilities — the passive expands what Shrine can actually do.
Sukuna’s Mark Status Effect and Charge System
This is probably the most interesting mechanic added by the passive.
Sukuna’s Mark gives you its own exclusive status effect. Instead of relying on the regular ailment system, this effect deals continuous tick damage to your target.
The damage ticks once every second.
Every tick also contributes toward your new Sukuna’s Mark charge bar.
Here’s how the charging works:
- Each status-effect tick gives half a charge
- You need 4 full charges
- That means you need 8 total ticks
- Once the bar is full, you unlock World Ending Slash
So the idea is pretty straightforward: keep applying the status effect, let it tick on your target, build your charges, and eventually unleash the big attack.
How to Unlock World Ending Slash
Once you’ve filled the Sukuna’s Mark charge bar completely, World Ending Slash becomes available.
The nice thing is that this isn’t taking up one of your normal Shrine skill slots.
You essentially get another powerful attack through the passive while still keeping your regular Shrine abilities available.
That makes the charge mechanic much more interesting than simply having another cooldown.
You’re basically building toward an extra powerful attack while continuing to use your normal moveset.
Sukuna’s Mark Removes Regular Ailments
Now we get to the downside.
Sukuna’s Mark isn’t completely free.
While the passive is equipped, you cannot activate regular ailment effects.
So if you have something like Water Prison attached to your equipment, you won’t be able to trigger it while Sukuna’s Mark is active.
This is important because it means you can’t simply throw Sukuna’s Mark into an existing ailment-focused build and expect everything to work together.
You’ll need to rethink your equipment.
Instead of prioritizing ailment activation, it makes much more sense to focus on raw offensive stats and damage.
How to Get Sukuna’s Mark in Jujutsu Zero
Getting Sukuna’s Mark requires you to collect three separate parts.
Once you have all three, you take them to the Passive Ability Exchange NPC and craft the completed passive.
The three pieces come from different sources, so you’re going to have to do a bit of farming.
Sukuna’s Mark Part 1 – Infinite Crates
The first piece comes from Infinite Crates.
There’s no complicated boss requirement here. You simply need to keep opening the crates until you get the required section of Sukuna’s Mark.
Obviously, this part can depend on your luck, so don’t be surprised if you have to open quite a few crates before seeing it.
If you’re already farming Infinite Crates for other rewards, this is something you can work toward at the same time.
Sukuna’s Mark Part 2 – Cursed Remnant
The second piece comes from the Cursed Remnant.
You’ll need to find the Cursed Remnant and defeat it until it drops the required Sukuna’s Mark component.
This is another farming step, so don’t worry if it doesn’t drop immediately.
Once you get this piece, you’re halfway through the collection process.
Sukuna’s Mark Part 3 – King of Curses
The final piece comes from the King of Curses boss.
There’s one important detail here: you need to fight the boss on the final difficulty.
The easier versions won’t give you the required Sukuna’s Mark piece.
So if you’re farming this boss and wondering why you’re not getting the drop, double-check the difficulty before wasting time running the wrong version.
Crafting Sukuna’s Mark
Once you’ve collected all three pieces, head back to the Passive Ability Exchange NPC.
Turn in the required pieces and you’ll be able to craft the complete Sukuna’s Mark passive.
After crafting it, equip the passive alongside Shrine.
That’s when the passive’s full effects become active, including the damage boost, custom basic attacks, special status effect, Open Shrine, and World Ending Slash.
Sukuna’s Mark is one of those passives that makes a lot more sense once you look at the entire package rather than just the headline 100% Shrine damage increase.
You’re getting double Shrine damage, custom basic attacks, Open Shrine, a unique ticking status effect, and an additional charged attack through World Ending Slash.
The loss of regular ailments is definitely something you’ll have to account for, but for a dedicated Shrine build, I think the benefits outweigh the drawback by a pretty wide margin.
If Shrine is your main technique, Sukuna’s Mark should be near the top of your farming list. If you’re using another technique, though, I’d save your resources and stick with a passive that actually complements your build.
